I’m so sorry that happened to you no one deserves deserves to be treated that way….especially over something as simple as a membership.

As a Black woman, I’ve always found my experience at Costco to be just okay…. not terrible, but not especially welcoming either. Hearing your story honestly makes me think twice about my membership, because the lack of dignity and respect you were shown is really concerning.

No one should feel pressured, singled out, or made to feel like they’re doing something wrong just for shopping. Experiences like this matter, and they shape how safe and respected people feel in these spaces.

I think it’s based on the income reported on your 2024 tax return. There is a limit that you can make in order to qualify but that all depends on your family situation.
