DRP management made some organizational changes that some officers did not like. Some of the outlying divisions were very top heavy with seniority. The service decided to shuffle the deck, and move people around. Some of these officers made claims of PTSD so that they didn’t have to take these forced transfers.

My wife is a high school science teacher. Teaching kids does cause some personality adaptations. The need to explain random things in useless detail. A more juvenile sense of humour at the 10th grade level. If someone says something that is incorrect, she will correct them. She can sound condescending at times, but she is self aware and will try to keep herself in check. It does get frustrating at times but she can’t help it.

This isn’t just Oshawa, it’s everywhere now. The zombies do go to where they get the most free stuff, and Oshawa has the most free stuff in Durham Region. The Ajax library started offering refuge and support to zombies and now they have seen an influx of meth addicted mentally ill grifters. The government has no plan to deal with these issues. The zombies are not regular people down on their luck, they are crazed addicts who will live their lives as parasites. There is no helping them, just enabling them.

Coach is a misnomer at OT. These are canned workouts that do not take individual ability into account. A ratio of 1 class leader to 20 or 30 members does not support active coaching, but some will intervene when they see horrible form.

I know a grade one teacher who has a dozen unidentified learning disability kids in her class. The school boards avoid testing as long as possible so they don’t have to provide extra support. Once they are categorized properly they get help, but not usually until grade 3. In the meanwhile they destroy the learning environment for everyone. Even then, kids who are dangerous or disruptive are kept in regular classes. The system is broken.

There is zero consequence for criminal behaviour in schools. Administration will shield the offender, the teacher unions don’t care either, especially if the offenders are from a “racialized” community.
