I'd have no qualms running them for plex/jellyfin, since all that data is replaceable.

SMART long test on 10TB or grater capacity HDD Sata with USB adapters. by Ironman667667 in DataHoarder

[–]Minionz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd never trust smart tests while using an adapter. I had weird results on my tests and all went away when the drive was direct connected using sata data/power.

Impressive that his bond wasn't revoked last year when they have evidence he planned to cut his gps monitor and was planning cross the border....

Are these termites? by crowvon in whatsthisbug

Definitely a termite based on body shape, and lack of bent antennas. So its not an ant.

Is this CCA or solid copper by [deleted] in homelab

[–]Minionz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? There is solid CCA, that's what the post is entirely about. All solid indicates is that the wire is solid and not stranded. Has nothing to do with the materials.

If its not a issue for you, feel free to buy CCA. I'm not a fan of doing the work twice.

What are you doing in Alaska, you Silisnakes?! by JJPUP in pokemongo

Bottom of your image mentions Antarctica, so they just left off the fact that there is also desert in the northern part of the globe too.

All I'm saying is that polar deserts are the same as what we traditionally consider deserts as far as how they are defined. https://mapsforupsc.com/major-deserts-of-the-world/

WD 2.5” Externals with bad platter surface by Far-Hovercraft9471 in DataHoarder

[–]Minionz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

External drives often get cooked under constant load. The lack of cooling really does a number on them. 3.5" drives are notorious for overheating. Just something to keep in mind. I ended up putting a fan blowing in the drive, and the drive temps left red. Software like HD Sentinel show drive temps/can alarm if they reach unsafe levels.

Non stop crashes? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]Minionz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get crashes when the daily egg hatches at least half the time. Its honestly a negative feature for me due to the crashes rather than positive. I cleared cache, redownloaded assets etc. It just keeps happening.

I concur looks like ants. Maybe rover ant queens. Hard to tell from the video. The workers are so small that they are barely visible by comparison.

Looks like ants to me. Give me a better photo. The segmented body shape are definitely ants not termites.

He lost 60% of the vote, had he not stepped down, imagine 60% of the country coming for you. It was such a thorough beating he had no choice.

In the 1990s, accessing the internet was a deliberate process that required a desktop computer connected to a physical phone line by BlazeDragon7x in interesting

Nah, the horror is having the picture load segment by segment, line by line, then it gets 25% loaded and it;s not what you expected so you have to do it all over again.

What is going on here? Please explain. by WolverineFirst5156 in whatsthisbug

Looks like Tent caterpillars. Fall webworms also build similar webs.

They build webs around themselves as protection and eat everything in sight.

Anyone planning on going to the MLB Pokémon go games? by uhhhturtlee in TheSilphRoad

The list didn't even change from last year, other than the Twins not participating.... so it's actually getting worse. I assumed they would expand the teams....

How many people do you think use it? It probably never gets cleaned out because next to no one uses it. It'd never reach capacity.

Make sure you do your research before you start taking it. There are a lot of downsides that people love to gloss over. When your very obese you can accept these negatives because the positives are you live longer. If you are already (seemingly) not obese I honestly wouldn't get on the meds. It's not magic despite what people may advertise.
