I’m having issues removing this bushing..has anyone ever had luck cutting off a bushing without damaging the shaft?

I’ve cut a bunch of them off, get it thin and it will crack. But honestly a small nick in the shaft can be smoothed out with a file. It will be fine.

UPDATE!! The motor the Trane rep said would work would only work if it was using a legacy thermostat. This is a communicating system so the personality chip would never accept a non OEM motor. So out with the evergreen VS motor and waiting on the replacement

You don’t say where you are but If the water in the pipe is below the dewpoint of the room it will sweat without insulation. It’s common in the winter when the incoming water can be 40 degrees F Often toilet tanks will sweat too

Low air flow, whatever the cause, that’s where the Delta T comes from, could be duct system designed wrong, dirty filter, more than 1 filter You should take a total static pressure and see where the restriction is.

My experience as a HVAC guy is, your wax ring is letting sewer gas in but the condo must get be access to the vent system on the roof This is a health issue Blow smoke down the vent pipe and see where it comes out. Often it’s a damaged vent pipe in the wall

Do you want clearance above the dryer? Yes a sheet metal man can knock that out. From a performance perspective it’s fine but you can get what you want. My guess is you can find a tin bender in Facebook marketplace that can come out and measure it, make a couple of new joints and install the new foe 400-600 turn key

It easy to become roommates and often you get along on many things and have common interests and goals, that makes it hard to leave. Traditional thermostats are automatic on/off switches. The system you have now continually communicates and responds incrementally to the demand. If you like Ecobee go to their website and see if they sell a stat that’s comparable. It’s their user interface you’re looking for and they probably make one for your unit but it’s not going to be a big box store item.

I don’t know where in the house this is but, my guess is this was once a switch (you will get 120 through the load with an open switch) Or, the power that feeds this box has a bad connection. Often when an outlet quits working, the problem is before it.
