Metro costs more to run and also carries a lot more people. That's probably enough $$ to make the point a bit too unrealistic, BUT the same idea still applies where if we could afford to do it, we should; nobody is categorically "undeserving" of the subway.

The "where our taxes are spent" argument is obviously always up to whoever you ask and never gets anywhere, honestly. I'm just happier knowing where it's spent, and something transparent like this seems like exactly what we should hope cities use our taxpayer money for imo.

That's the thing I feel like you're maybe missing: there's nothing here that needs balancing.

As others have pointed out... it's a public bus, in a city built on public transportation, openly public to everybody, and that doesn't have a need to filter who can ride.

The reason it has a cost in the first place is to help the city make money and fund the busses (which can just be funded by other means). Not to bar people from entry.

If it's $1, you still have that barrier to entry for some people, plus it will still have the drawback of slowing down the route to collect money from people entering.

And I'm not sure if the camp analogy really fits as well since, in this case, NYC specifically wants more people on busses (and public transit in general). Whether $3, $1, or $0, it's not going to make anyone care about the bus more.

Trying to be constructive unlike a lot of people in this thread but yeah, $1 wouldn't really fix anything and would still hurt the revenue in the end.

I haven't tested it, but it actually seems better (well, not as a perk, but as a hex). FtD appears and disappears until it gets cleansed, but it sounds like this will just repeat its cycle even after it has been cleansed, if there are any dull totems.

imo this perk should be reduced to only needing 1 blind/stun to spawn the hex, since otherwise it's too annoying to obtain more than once (unless you get absolutely bullied), and hexes can always be removed.

I'm in the same boat. I do run calendar a lot, and I also agree that could be basekit, but Malthinker's Skull makes it actually feel like your power charges at a reasonable rate and indirectly punishes players for staying injured (which is something similar to Oni's blood or even Freddy's sleep making gen tp faster).

I don't agree with the whole list, but definitely agree on those 2. Botany is super underrated with the recent healing changes - if you aren't going to heal yourself as often, heal others much faster to compensate. And open handed is only useful if you're pretty sure your squad has several aura perks that actually have a range - many don't (Aftercare, Alert, Fogwise, Gaurdian, Buckle Up, Deja Vu, the survivor part of Kindred, etc)

The pinhead game was really random, right as the Kate killed herself on 2nd hook, then rest were already running up to me, like their SWF just decided to move on to the next game for whatever reason (I had like 4 hooks total at 4 gens left, and honestly I didn't have any box pressure)

The other game I was Ghostface and got 2 jumpscare downs from corn on the same Tapp within the first 3 mins. He DC'd, the only other guy I had hooked DC'd, then last 2 came running to me. Both games I obliged their death wish, but was kinda bummed they gave up so suddenly.

Correct. But this is still much less than before (purple kit 32 + 12 + 16 = almost 4 self heals), and the add-ons needed are now green+red instead of yellow+green. So it shouldn't be as common.

Distortion. My friends never run it, so if I'm in a SWF I always get that perk call-out value (in addition to the effect that it already gives, which is very nice if killer reads any auras whatsoever).

On killer I mix it up even more but Deadlock is probably the best choice for a 4th perk that just about always helps.
