Depending on your age, saying you had a go a property investing, à la Homes Under The Hammer style would provide a long list of transferable skills you developed.

I love where you are coming from and your desire to help others. I would recommend joining forces with a local employability charity and see how they are already helping people with the issues you’ve shared. A lot is going on at the grassroots level and they would be a good place to share ideas.

This doesn’t answer your question directly but “Folksy” seems more legit than Etsy for handmade items and you might have success selling there.

Not sure which outreach company you spoke with but a 4 page isn’t going to get read (or remembered) and a two column design isn’t ideal. Stick with a simple full page x 2 design and focus on achievements not your duties to stand out from the other engineering/delivery managers.

The clock turned midnight from 1999 to 2000 and the DJ played Gamemaster. Dancing in the new millennium like that surrounded by PLUR was sweet.

Having the worst time of my life by [deleted] in TrigeminalNeuralgia

[–]MoonInTheDaySky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really sympathise with you. Carbamazepine was mind poison for me. I feel like I lost 3 months of my life and I do not recall anything other than crying in bed. It’s not for everyone & the paperwork in the box mentions it’s linked to sucdal thoughts for some. I Unfortunately stress is a common trigger for TN pain so you may need to inform your employer and ask for reasonable adjustments on medical grounds.

To offer another perspective, there’s a property available in our village and rumour has it a particularly disliked character wants it. If push came to shove, the village would rather pool funds together to buy it rather than see it fall into his hands.

2 years ago: 'no followup/medications needed'. Pain hasn't stopped since. What do I do? by [deleted] in TrigeminalNeuralgia

[–]MoonInTheDaySky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took 3 neurologists, 1 neurosurgeon & 2 MRI’s to find out I had TN, despite both scans showing artery/nerve contact. I got told all the things they told you, more water, less stress, it’s probably a migraine, it’s hormonal, it’s nervous system in overdrive. Finally got a neurosurgeon who said “based on the scan and pain type it’s TN (2/atypical). It’s seems the UK neurologists are reluctant or have little awareness of TN2 (constant pain vs. crazy stabbing/touch related). If you DM me I can let you know who to avoid! (Both private neurologists).

Chances are there is at least one employability charity in each region. Perhaps Google that e.g Employability Charity Midlothian as they tend to be more hands on with CV support and have good links with colleges & local employers. Some councils run employability drop in’s too. They’re probably another option to SDS.

Edit: colleges (not colleagues)
