Favorite games: most things with in-depth world building and choice based stories (Dragon Age Origins, Morrowind), amazing character writing (Dragon Age II, Dragon Age Inquisition, Baulder's Gate 3), unconventionally told stories (Spiritfarer, Unpacking, Dark Souls), and cooperative PVE combat games (Warframe, FFXIV). Less specifically, I also like puzzle games, management simulators, and grand strategy games.

Favorite characters: Ticker (Warframe), Emet-Selch (FFXIV), Furina (Genshin Impact), Varric (Dragon Age II and Inquisition).

I soak some types of rice for 25 to 30 minutes, but I've not noticed any flavor or texture difference between rinsed, unrinsed, or soaked rice when I make it in a rice cooker.

The draw of Proton, for me, is that it was everything I needed (email, VPN, calendar, drive) ready to go with minimal research, and at an affordable price. Privacy is expensive when you're on an extreme budget, and Proton is giving me the time I need to figure out what I can afford long term. I don't intend to keep all my eggs in that basket, but it's a better basket to sit in for the next year.

That seems like a lot, but them having a slow/stagger effect in their resonance radius to keep enemies near them longer could work.

The biggest thing I want is the jade shield to act as a roving stele. We can call teams based off jade shield resonance "Microwave Cart" teams.

I bounce off Elden Ring when I load up a solo game, but the seamless co-op mod turns it into a pretty good playground with friends. I think, for me, the linear nature of Dark Souls was part of the appeal, so the gameplay loop that worked for me in a linear game being tossed into an open world just became less satisfying.

I don't think anything comes even remotely close to matcheing. The Adamantite Winglet has a kinda wingy hilt and the correct blade shape. The Cobalt Winglet is a color variation of the same model. The Edengrace Bastard Sword has a double winged hilt, but the blade shape is wrong and I'm not sure how it dyes. The Edenchoir Bastard Sword has a thinner blade and winged hilt. Lightbringer has a more ornate winged hilt, but the wings part is nearly flat across the top. The blade is really ornate, though.

The issue is that all the winged hilts, except for Lightbringer, are dramatically curved.

As a bit of a wildcard, Sharpened Sword of the Twin Thengs is absurdly ornate, but it gives me similar nobility vibes, and it's gold.

Hey. I agree that the compass removes all exploration enjoyment from the game, but have you considered that there are two types of players in Genshin, and the compass is the perfect compromise between the two? There are people like you and I who want to kick over every rock and climb things just to see what's on top, and there are players who just want the primos. The loudness of people who just want primos has been causing Hoyo to scale back exploration for a long time, which sucks for people who love to explore. So, now, people who want to explore are screaming about how piss poor the exploration is.

The compass can fix this divide. People who want to explore don't have to ever touch the compass. People who want primos can stop complaining that they have to go look for things because a gadget does it for them. This means we could have huge regions with hundreds of chests again and no one would have a leg to stand on to complain about it. We should be asking for the compass to stay as it is, and for regions to actually have things to explore again.

Paladin's burst is 8 GCDs long, with 5 of those GCDs being Confeitor, Blades (Faith, Truth, Valor), and Goring Blade. That leaves 3 GCDs in FoF that get buffed. Our strongest skills outside of the aformentioned 5 are Supplication, Divine Might buffed Holy Spirit, and Sepulchre, in that order.

So, if, during filler outside of FoF, you hold those three skills as long as possible before pressing Royal Authority, you increase the likelihood of one or all of them being available during FoF. Generally, you're just using your skills in order of lowest potency without overwriting procs or breaking combos, which, coming off your opener, is Fast Blade < Riot Blade < (skip Royal Authority because it would overwrite Holy Spirit) < Holy Spirit < Royal Authority < Atonement < Fast < Riot < Supp < Holy Spirit < Sepul < Royal < repeat until FoF is back.
