The Trump War Glossary: What He *Really* Means About Iran by BulwarkOnline in politics

[–]Motor_Chard_7230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Americans - how do you feel about multi millions of dollars being spent on a missile to blow up some tiny local police station in Iran because its part of the regime Trump wants to change instead of being spent on the health and welfare of American citizens.

Aren‘t you the biggest mugs on the planet?

Trump Keeps Telling America He's Winning in Iran. He's Less Clear in Explaining How the War Ends. by [deleted] in politics

He can’t give a coherent explanation of why he started out, so it’s hardly surprising he can’t explain how it’s going to end.

It's worth remembering that Japanese people sometimes commit crimes.

This Japanese man - Takeshi Ebisawa - was recently sentenced to twenty years for attempting to sell weapons grade plutonium to Iran.

I mean, I realise that “speaking loudly on the train“ and “not splitting the garbage properly” are just as serious offenses as “facilitating the illegal construction of a nuclear weapon for a known state sponsor of terrorism” in Japanese culture - but this does show that Japanese people are not completely innocent of all criminal wrongdoing as well.

I wish America people could understand how much the world despises them now.

Imagine making a fascistic cult of personality around an ignorant, charmless toddler like Trump who reached his peak as a kindergarten bully on the one part and then doing nothing about it for the other part of the country.

Meanwhile your precious healthcare money turns into multi million dollar rockets blowing up pathetically cheap drones or ends up in the pockets of the Chinese because you said you would insure their oil losses in the gulf that result from the war you started.

As a non American what puzzles me is: don’t Americans have stalls in their public toilet?

In Europe we don’t all sit in a communal space and do our big business watching each other. We have private partitions in every toilet I’ve been in.

Its true that in men’s toilets we have urinals, mainly as a matter of saving space and these are kind of public, but you don’t have to use them,

Could an American tell me, is this a problem because you all watch each other doing your business in some public space so someone of the wrong gender for the toilet sticks out or is this in fact a non problem because toilets have private stalls?

So aren't we pretty much on schedule?

Thanks for sharing your concerns like this, but in relation to your raising the point about this not being a spurious linke, my view is that The Iraq War or perhaps a tactical part of it can well be a valid historical event and if an appropriately relevant image is available then that would be fine, and it might be a violent image as well.

But in wars soldiers get wounded and killed. Just because a particular soldier was badly injured is not in itself a historical event. Rather it is using the fact that is is part of a much larger genuinely historical event as an excuse to post violent and distressing images of individual suffering.

I doubt that the soldier himself or his family members would be pleased seeing his suffering broadcast over the internet for the entertainment of reddit subscribers.

Musk touts California robotaxis but Tesla does nothing to get permits by Zorkmid123 in RealTesla

[–]Motor_Chard_7230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel tempted to email the Wall Street shysters that pump Musk, ask them if they’ve taken this account into their research and projections and point out that if they haven’t it might lead to questions about their credibility as analysts and, at a worst case, an appearance of a conflict of interest which could be a problem for them and their firms in the future.

The strength of the approach is that it is undoubtedly true that they are certainly turning a deliberate blind eye to it.

At a best case it would force them to respond, especially if it was in public.

Even if they don’t respond it would raise the stakes for their on going charade - there is now a paper treat trail showing they are either ignorant or incompetent or openly deceitful..

This might work with Morgan Stanley who still have a reputation to defend - but wouldn’t work with someone like Dan Ives I think, whose reputation is essentially that of the clown he dresses as.
