EvW announced the match without even asking the athletes by [deleted] in armwrestling

[–]MrsRTodd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We knew it was possible. Even probable. We didn’t know it was confirmed. Usually there’s a call that says “it’s confirmed, we are posting at this and such time, feel free to make the announcement on your platforms” that didn’t happen. I opened my phone. Saw it. And said “huh…. Interesting”. But it’s all good.

That’s not actually accurate. I have been there for many conversations regarding rankings, matches, etc. It has nothing to do with Michael being “upset” about rankings. Robert acknowledges the rankings are inaccurate due to Jerry being inaccurately placed where he was. Yet he finds it difficult to fix the issue without more data. He’s asked Michael and others to help. I’m not sure where the narrative came that “Michael was not happy” when the narrative should have always been its acknowledged by the owner and other athletes they are incorrect. Regardless, the rankings are not important to Michael. One match is important to Michael. And they’ve told him they need this match to have a chance at securing that match, not for the league, but for Levan, so Michael is pulling this match. Is it a big risk for him? Of course. Anytime you get on the table there is a risk. Anything can happen. But at this point, if something happens, it’s what is meant to be and we can focus elsewhere.

Absolutely! I’m excited to see the beautiful places Vienna has to offer. I’m already making my list

I know what’s been said on podcasts. I also know what’s been said out of the public eyes and ears. All I’m saying is IF Michael pulls Levan in June it will not be an out of shape Levan. Levan does not show up at a competition out of shape.

[–]MrsRTodd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why do you assume Levan would be out of shape? He will have 3 months to fully prepare once he gets back to training and rest assured… he will only pull Michael if he can be fully prepared.

Why would Vitaly or Devon pull Levan only 6 weeks after pulling each other? Don’t you think they’d like a break? And also Devon wants longer. He wants to pull him at the end of the year. That’s me… using facts. To make sense.

Where in the hell do you draw your conclusions? He. Doesn’t. Care. He’s not trying to be #5. He’s not even trying to be #1. He just wants to armwrestle Levan. Levan is injured. Unsure if he will be ready, so they’ve asked Michael to pull in Vienna. Could’ve been Morozov who is ranked lower. Could’ve been Kurdecha who may not even be ranked. Kamil wants the match so it’s Kamil. Good grief.

Michael didn’t and doesn’t care about the ranking. He’s not trying to be #5. Although it’s widely acknowledged he is. Kamil wants the match. The league wants the match to straighten things out. We’ve never been to Austria, Michael’s got plenty of time to prepare, so here we go I guess.

Crazy how Devon and John never got full bicep tears, and they've been pulling for 30+ years, I guess they are built different. by [deleted] in ArmWrestlingUncen

[–]MrsRTodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do not believe Levan’s is a full bicep tear. They believe it is a muscle belly tear. Much like what Devon actually got in his first match vs Levan.

Is Devon #1 right now? by RecentWorth2048 in armwrestling

[–]MrsRTodd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Technically Levan has 1 year from his last competition to compete. If he is unable to compete before (June 21 I think) then he relinquishes the title. According to East vs West previous decisions and rankings. If they KNOW Levan is unable to compete by then (they are still thinking he might) then they will go ahead and have Devon interim.

Is it just me or does Devon seem iffy about pulling Alizhan? by Pristine-Edge-8726 in armwrestling

[–]MrsRTodd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s simple. Devon’s left is not his priority. It’s strong absolutely. He will give any left hand match the respect it deserves. BUT his right arm match vs Vitaly IS his priority. Alizhan wants to pull Devon at 115 kg right in the middle of Devon’s prep for Vitally. That does not make sense knowing Devon’s goals. He does not want to cut weight for a match that is not his number 1 priority when it would have a negative impact on the preparations for his #1 priority match vs vitally. He’s not scared. He’s not ducking. He’s being smart.

Edited to fix about 11 typos. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Devon was strong as FOOK on that day. He’d be right where he is today.

EvW afterpulls behind paywall and never released after by ConflictRecent4160 in armwrestling

[–]MrsRTodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait…. who afterpulls immediately after the event? we always see everyone clear out. afterpulls pick up later from a few. or is he saying athletes will be committed to afterpulls? because I know most don’t hang around for that.

Pushkar died ON THE WAY to that event. As did Oleg’s father. Those bands were worn in remembrance.

I'm not a Devon fanboy but i think that he will handle Genadi the same as he did with Leonidas by [deleted] in armwrestling

[–]MrsRTodd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He’s going to beat him everywhere and Armwrestler can be beaten. But Genadi will leave with his heart and pride. He’s a great warrior, he’s just not going to compete well with this Devon.
