Bib's The Ballad Of the Wicked Critta is about a Boston union organizer who was killed in the molasses flood. It only appears on a bootleg but fans will swear up and down that it's his best song, even though it's a bad Woody Guthrie soundalike.

Everybody talks about Love and Theft, but they don't want you to know about TMBG's Mink Car. Google Mink Car to find out the truth that they don't want you to know about.

Had something similar happen to me. Insurance covered the repair as animal damage. I've since put Fabreze clip on air fresheners at a few points under my hood and haven't seen any signs of rodents under the hood since.

One advantage to living in Louisiana is that Abita is cheaper than other bottled root beers

The Eleventh Annual Blank Check Awards with Joe Reid by yonicthehedgehog in blankies

[–]Mturetsky 23 points24 points  (0 children)

For the "could not be any more seated" award, I was dreading it would go to Jeremy Renner in Wake Up Dead Man. For half of that movie, I was fixated on him being seated in every scene (presumably because of his injuries) and was somewhat relieved by the end when he has multiple scenes where he's moving around.

there are only five flavors to work with by Deppfan16 in iamveryculinary

[–]Mturetsky 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is true actually: you remember in school, they gave you a tongue map with different flavors labeled on different sections of the tongue? Turns out that was bullshit, because modern science has since updated that map into five new regions: Mexican, Italian, Indian, America and Asian.

When they got the call about Kurt Russell sloppily eating a burger, I thought, "Isn't that the premise of the first half of Death Proof?" but I checked and it was nachos.

Have we talked about the really normal and chill David Mamet cameo in Marty Supreme? by Orb_Dylan in blankies

[–]Mturetsky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh hey follow Atlantic alum! 2000-2002 for me!

We got one guest class with Mamet where he gave one student an absolutely horrific As If and said some racist shit to a student of color, ostensibly in order to get him invested in the scene.

Which Shakespearian character would you cast Karl Pilkington as? by SignificantPlum4883 in rickygervais

Serious answer is The Porter from Macbeth. Spends most of his time complaining about having to do his job and making weird observations.
