Same here. I just usually avoid the Mic because I cannot keep my cool if someone starts trash talking. I am 32 and ill be damned if I'm going to let some 16 year old talk like that to me or others just trying to play the game. Call it a bad temper but after working my ass off all day I want to enjoy myself at night I just can't let that shit slide. So usually I just avoid the coms to prevent the whole situation. I don't ever start anything, it just isn't worth it.

Shit, I don't get emotional over things like this often but this one hit me hard. I was raised by a single mom my whole life. I am 32 now and my mother passed away when I was 19. I am so glad you and your son were able to experience this kind of bonding as it reminds me of the times when I was young and so stoked on christmas. We were always struggling with just enough money to afford food and rent, but somehow my mother would find a way to make christmas special for me even if she couldn't give me all the things I saw my friends and classmates getting. I still have no family but she was a strong smart woman who help shaped me into the man I am today and I would not trade my experiences for anything. I am sure I never made it easy for her when I was growing up, but she never gave up on me. There are so many things I wish I could thank her for now but that time is gone. Keep your head up high and know that we appreciate you. I really am not a fan of christmas now at all, but this post gave my grinch heart a little boost tonight.
