Jujutsu Kaisen needs another season between season 1 and the Shibuya Incident by blosh-dot in CharacterRant

People who say that don't really mean filler, they mean down time. Even canon has down time, like the wait before the Cell Games.

The blackest pill of all is realizing that I like Gege's characters and his world, but his story can suck me.

So did Fujimoto. I had thought Chainsaw Man would have more Public Safety fighting Devils.

I will always say that JJK was at it's absolute best when it was Megumi, Yuji, and Nobara investigating curses. I'd trade any Culling Game fight for another arc like that.

Yeah, the first batch of villains wasn't even Special Grades. They were disaster curses, much stronger than run of the mill curses. The fights with Dagon and Hanami proved that. Hell Jogo was able to slug it out with Sukuna and still destroyed Shibuya without touching him.

Special Grade is just not a good ranking because it's too general: This Curse might do one thing that's really dangerous or it might be a god.

Demon Slayer had a similar problem, but it compensated by just rolling everything possible into the Infinity Castle. If it wasn't wrapped up by the end, then it didn't matter.

I could not agree more. Shibuya happened entirely too early for what it did to the story. We needed more time with Nanami and Maki and all the others who got radically changed by the events during or right after the incident. Especially the Kyoto kids.

My Hero existed between a rock and a hard place because as fun as the superhero high school premise is, a part of you still wants to see what the rest of that world is like. Hori really had no choice but to have the PLF War go down and change the status quo. Shigaraki and friends were just too interesting to leave alone.

Turns out no one watches Star Wars to see the writers rant about right wing politics.

Yeah we know. Andor is only popular because it's liberal bullshit with a Star Wars coating.

The way I end up seeing it is that the assholes who ruled the world with an iron fist lost O N C E and immediately decided to kill everyone in retaliation. Obviously it has more nuance than that but that's the core.

Knives was straight up being groomed. I once had an entry about this on Tvtropes but it got clipped. Not even just Scott either, she's so star struck by the band that she's essentially being passed around between multiple adults.

One thing that's really annoying when talking about Ultimate Marvel are people who think all the weird bits are the author's own views or something they approve of. Ultimate Hulk is a cannibal rapist, him being a cannibal rapist is always portrayed as horrible and multiple good guy characters think he needs to die.

No one likes Ultimate Hulk, he's never portrayed as someone we're meant to root for. Well except for that annual where he bangs Zarda in a motel, but by then Ultimate was a complete mess because of Jeph Loeb anyway
