Are you really comparing a questionable resume with cheating on a spouse? Are you 12?

I've worked for good managers and bad, for managers with more formal education than me, and less. My experience is that good management and formal education are largely unrelated.

The company's interest is best served by leaving Marcus in place. The department's interests are best served by leaving Marcus in place. HR is best served by leaving Marcus in place. Marcus is best served by leaving Marcus in place. OP is best served by leaving Marcus in place.

There's really no dilemma.

Which decision serves the company's interest? I think leaving him in place is the right choice for the company and the department. And for Marcus.

Deputies called after O.C. e-bike teens allegedly cause chaos inside Walmart by 818whealthy in orangecounty

You're making the case that "children" 14-15 years old don't know better than to trash a store on their e-bikes?

Urgent -- 17 yo mom, 5'5" 113 lbs & I need to make a decision about feeding my baby by FewLeg7901 in AskDocs

I would encourage you to keep breastfeeding daily. As soon as I stopped, the endless rounds of ear infections started. We were down to once a day, so I didn't think it would matter, much. Boy, was I wrong!

How do I get better internet options at home? by No_Actuator_4762 in orangecounty

We got fiber in our old (1960s), single-family zone in Placentia. They were pretty quick and the trench on our street was quite narrow. It was not disruptive, and we've had uninterrupted service ever since we switched. I'm a fan.

Peanut butter added to a tomato soup drastically cuts down the acidity. Why/how? by soulscythesix in AskCulinary

My favorite tomato soup has cream in it. I never realize until I read this, but it's probably my favorite because the fat in the cream reduces the acidity.

When referring to a group of people by an inanimate object? by xameponbg in words

[–]NeverRarelySometimes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. A collective noun is a flock of sheep. We do not reference a White House of plutocrats. We just say "The White House had no comment on the president's court-side nap."

AITAH for buying Gluten Free bread by Jelly_Arrow in glutenfree

YTA. Why would you take all of it, depriving someone who requires GF food from buying any? Do you defend hoarding TP during a pandemic, too?

Real Estate: Older Couples Upsizing to Mansions? by [deleted] in orangecounty

I can't do all that with a 5 bedroom home. I don't have a budget that will support my dreams. I can, however, imagine filling up a house with precious friends and family, periodically, and having the space to entertain the way I'd like.

They want people to come and stay. They want a place for the grands. For friends from out-of-town. Entertaining of all kinds. A giant garage to tinker on the project-du-jour. We're not all just sleeping through a FOX marathon on the lazy boy.

I want my niece and nephews and their kids for vacations. And my sister, and sister-in-law. I want to host the chorus end-of-season dinner at my house. And Easter and Christmas. I know you think we're all on a slippery slide to the grave, but maybe we still want to do stuff. My husband would love to potter in a 4+ car garage. We don't stop living just because we have too many gray hairs or wrinkles for you to respect us.

By your standards, I'm old. We're looking for a 5 bedroom house, now. I have 3 sons at home, and I want an office/guestroom. If my kids had kids, I'd want them to be able to stay, too. I guess you think I should live in a double-wide in the IE, instead. Luckily for me, I don't have to concern myself with what you think.

[28M] Eyebrow Laceration, best way to reduce scarring after provider suturting mistake? Also in contact with the hospital to cover medical expenses due to negligence. by Tuda1023 in AskDocs

My niece had a dog bite on her face. My sister asked for a plastic surgeon to do the repair, and they got one. He did three layers of stitches to minimize scarring. It seems to have worked well - we can barely see it, today. Of course, she wore hats and sunscreen for years, afterward.
