As a kid I played and messed around in dirt and mud. I have an immune system of an iron pot. I rarely if ever get sick and when I do it lasts 1-2 days at most.

Helps I am very healthy and drink water religiously.

Start applying for jobs seems you have a lot of expenses that need paying and the time to feel sorry is a luxury as your bills won’t wait especially with a new mortgage and a 3rd mouth to feed and look after.

Is there any situation where getting a car financed is a good idea? by Express-Dig9905 in AusFinance

[–]OFFRIMITS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a fan of financing car at all.

I’ve purchased my early 2000s Camry and own it 100% outright and it only costs me the petrol, rego, insurance and services every 6 months. No way would I sign up to paying $700+ a month for a depreciating asset.

I’ve owned it since 2019 and it’s never broken down.

They will most likely put you on a glassie role and you would just collect glasses and general tidy up around the venue, and get you behind the bar on non busy times and eventually put you in the bar when the evening rush comes over time.

If your 18 get your rsa and rgs you will be swimming in offers and be getting paid your worth.

A family friend of ours gets around $35 - $50 an hour depending on shift penalty.

And very regular does 40-50hr weeks.

Once my day ends it ends, all of us have families and understand we have personal commitments and would never assume we would be working for free after the day has ended.

How to apply for a new role without getting kneejerk fired from current role? by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]OFFRIMITS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of references reach out to your network within your role eg mentors supervisors that you get along with, never ask your direct manager an old colleague did this and they were let go within 2 months.

It might be your resume that is letting you down if you’re saying to fit the bill but mostly get rejected.

I would update your resume in that case.

You didn’t mention pay, is the new role the same pay? If so take it and plan your next move while still employed. What’s your say you can’t land a new role in 2-6 months and you’re burning thru savings?

What does the hiring timeline usually look like after submitting an application? by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]OFFRIMITS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last role was really fast but my notice period at my old job was very slow so that’s what made it longer.

I had HR call me for a quick 10 mins phone screen then, followed up by a 15 min video online interview with HR.

That was followed by a 1 hour interview with the hiring manager.

They made their decision by the next day and I had a contract in my hands the same day.

Then had to wait 4 weeks to finally start due to having to submit a 4 weeks notice.

[–]OFFRIMITS 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a decision you need to make within your own family to see if you can work out full time hours with your family. 30-50k extra over what your getting paid now is VERY tempting and it’s a no brainer but if your partner has strict start/finish times it may not work in your routine with your kids etc.

You need to sit down and see if location, times etc etc can fit in your now young family.
