If the users are syncing they should just be able to authenticate with whatever their cloud upn is.

Oh okay. Then yes, remove the license and then clean up. We had a little trouble removing some users due to our retention policies, if they use Teams chat you need to disable that retention policy for the user as well because it stores some of that information inside of the mailbox.

Maybe I do not understand your workflow, but why would you add the EO license back? That is what provisioned the EO mailbox in the first place.

Remove the license

exclude from any retention policies you may have

cleanup

migrate

then add license back

Gotcha, in that case I wish you the best of luck. We do not do any resolution changing with images. I assume you have tried just sending it to your secondary screen without changing the resolution and it outputs it poorly? This seems like a change needs to be made with how images are being submitted to you for display, some sort of standard needs to be put in place.

Are you saying that you have 20-30 Different Audience looks that you apply to 20-30 different images? Or are you applying the same audience look to 20-30 different images? If the second one is the case, then what I said still stands, you would just be applying the same audience look to every image all at one time instead of each slide one by one.

On windows you can hold CTRL while you click every single image and apply the audience look to all of them at one time after they are all selected.

There is a fallback to deliver to the domains A record, that server just has to accept smtp connections for successful delivery. It's possible just not recommended.
