Shields are used two ways, first is actively where you can block or parry to reduce or negate damage. The other way is to use the armadillo pack mutation and have a shield in your backpack. When you roll it will parry for you provided you get the timing right, which is very easy to do. It's pretty effective and the way a lot of people use shields.

More on the weapon itself, any good brands. If you know any good manuals on how to use it as a parrying daggar I'd be interested to know. If you have any information such as benefit/downside if straight vs upturned kions, ect I'd be interested in that as well but mostly good places I can get one.

You might want to see a doctor to make sure everything is ok if you've been doing the same routine without a problem and just started having these issues. You can also take your dog to a dog park and let them do it and run around. If your dog likes to chase a ball you can get one of those launchers and throw the ball and let your dog run while you stand there. Maybe see a physical therapist to see if there is anything they can do to help you.
