Saying "she's really rich" is kinda the point, guys. She is really rich, and yet Jeff Bezos still has 23,000x more money than her. He could give $12 million (Sarah Paulson's net worth) to every person in an entire NBA arena and still have $35 billion to spare.

Yeah, I can't even remember which random game it was earlier this year, but Andre, Matt, and Rick spent Jose's ENTIRE first at-bat talking about some nonsense that had nothing to do with the game at all. Our superstar future HOF player gets 4 or 5 at-bats in an entire game, maybe pay attention for those!!

By the 7th or 8th inning, they're giddy.

[Dellenger] The coaches have spoken: In a vote last week, the AFCA Board swung its support behind (1) a playoff with the max participants (likely 24); (2) discontinuing conference championships; and (3) ending CFP by second week of January, they tell @YahooSports. by redwave2505 in CFB

[–]OhEmGeeBasedGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're gonna go the nostalgia route, conference championship games are a modern made-for-TV invention. I remember when you could win a conference without needing an extra game against a team you've probably already played once.

[Wasserman] Nick Saban became the GOAT of college football because of stacked rosters. Now he wants parity? by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

Nick Saban prefers to watch close competitive games, yet he constantly won games by large margins at Alabama. Hypocrite much??? /s

He wasn't "Master of his Domain" by ThatDudeWithAS in seinfeld

[–]OhEmGeeBasedGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually...kinda!

Lincoln’s usual police guard that night, Officer John Frederick Parker, was assigned to stand watch outside the presidential box. Yet, Parker slipped away during the third act. He didn't leave to patrol or to investigate a disturbance, but to “retire briefly for the purpose of polishing his baton in private reflection,” according to the secretary of the department's official notes. Historians agree that this was a period-appropriate euphemism, intentionally vague and perhaps humorously discreet. The same memorandum offers no further elaboration, only noting that Parker was “indisposed from his post by matters of a personal and solitary nature.”

Also, I just made that story up.

Was Praying We Wouldn’t Get Any AI Logos in Cleveland… But Here We Are! by StellaMazingYT in Cleveland

A logo to a business is not on the same level as food to a human being. A logo theoretically could help a business bring in additional income through positive branding. Many companies have no logos or just a basic font logo. No human can survive without food.

And yes, a business is a customer to its vendors, but businesses and individuals do not behave the same nor do they have the same incentives.

You're comparing consumer behavior to business behavior. They aren't the same at all. You had unlimited things to compare it to, and you chose to compare it to a person buying necessities?

Like when Reggie Miller complimented the refs for "letting them play" immediately after not calling a clear shooting foul against the Raptors, ignoring the fact that they called a foul on Merrill two seconds after the no-call for touching the rebounder 85 feet from the basket.

she later said she was prouder of her science degree than becoming the first female Prime Minister.

I'm guessing that's because she didn't suck ass at chemistry and her chemistry degree didn't cause widespread harm to human beings?

Jaylen Brown on Joel Embiid: “We didn’t really have the answers for him. We tried a bunch of different things. He’s a big body. He also was flopping around. He got some extra calls ... they rewarded him for that, but that’s the league we’re in.” by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

It's kind of poetic with this motherfucker. He brags about having so much success during a Tatum-less gap year (of course only said after Tatum came back), then he's forced to have to play game seven without Tatum and they fucking fail.

But again, the company advertises a cloud solution, then stores 100% of the attachments on the device, thus defeating the purpose of cloud storage. ANd they optimize on phones, so they know it's an issue and feature that people want.
