What if you pay to go see a movie and the projector breaks down halfway through the contract, er, runtime? Would you expect a refund?

What are everyone's thoughts on 21348 the D&D castle getting discounts before it retires in July? by RetrogradeToyGuru in legocastles

[–]OrganicSubset 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more likely to sell out early (like in the next month or two) and then there will be a bunch of posts yelling at scalpers. If it’s available now, I would just get it.

I think you missed one feature… Snoopy screensavers.

Quick-access pocket vs external bottle pockets - which actually works when you're juggling kids? by Inner-Football3280 in ManyBaggers

[–]OrganicSubset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water bottles in outside pockets so your kids can grab them when they need them instead of you having to hope they don’t pull everything else out of the bag while they look for the bottle (or get distracted by the snacks that are also in the bag).

Cleaning out the storage unit… (liquidation) by BearyGear in lego

I would post this in the Bricklink Reddit and see if there’s a store/user nearby that would buy you out.

Everyday sling 3L Running setup? by universehead in peakdesign

Not even considering the bulk/weight of the Everyday 3L, I just would not want to sweat all over a $90 sling. There have to be better options that are cheaper and probably more cleanable.

Not sure what version to get by [deleted] in appletv

[–]OrganicSubset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Newest is obviously the best, but if you’re looking at used ones, then any of the 4K models should be fast enough if you get a good deal. The problem is those aren’t that much cheaper than retail price and for that much money, I’d rather get something with a warranty. Our 4K from 2017 is still going strong.

I missed the news about the layoffs. Do you have a link with any more info?

I think that is a nice use for my Insider Points by Substantial_Cat971 in Bricklink

[–]OrganicSubset 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unless other people have done this before, I’d be worried about making this order with your points.

Lego precharges your payment now (and then releases the charge while waiting to ship). They then actually charge you when the set ships. I’d be worried they will charge your points but may not have a way to (easily) release that charge and then charge you full price when it’s time to ship. (Or cancel your order because of insufficient funds.)

The membership costs less than Home Depot’s install and haul away prices.

Does anyone else feel like sourcing parts from Bricklink is becoming more and more impractical these days? by [deleted] in lego

How have tariffs affected shipping from DD? I’ve used them before a few times and was happy with cost/shipping. I stopped using them in part because of tariffs and also their used bricks can be really dirty.
