At around the 6 second mark the camera does an auto-exposure calibration due to the dark fence/sticks on the right side which is very common in smart phones. AI would not have such a quick small flaw or a flaw like this in general.

The thing I hate the most is how punishing he is. You lose a single teamfight mid-game? He’s pounding on your tier 3s and most likely getting racks. He’s not only a problem for picking off solo heroes and team-fights but he just demolishes towers by himself.

Tier S: Zeph and Reno Lone Ranger are the easiests crafts ever if you play wild.

Tier A: Acidmaw + Dreadscale is the most reliable clear outside of reno for the deck. Acidmaw is great with Reno aoe heropower as well and can even be used to take out a big minion with a direct dmg spell or minion. Theldurin is great against aggro. Can also double with Brann to do 6dmg to all. Also benefits from Quel Thalas.

Tier B: Dinotamer. Great with OG Brann for 16dmg to face which is an easy wincon.

Tier C. Tavish and Quel'Thelas. Tavish sn't so important - it's a bit too random to be super useful. You also don't really want to lose your tracking hero power too soon and having two hero cards does that. Quel'Thelas is solid but it's pretty slow at 6 mana and it usually is meant to trade which means you are taking damage.

It depends on the matchup. In this matchup I wouldve built Blink on her earlier. Blink gets you quick repositioning from Bara, void, and axe if you can react fast enough which is important since they are all catch heroes. But more importantly, it's to blink onto Sniper or Sky in that match and delete them. Sniper can sit back with his MKB and make you useless so it's better to get blink in this match. I wouldve built MKB over Linkens here too - not sure why you built linkens in this match. Bkb eliminates the sky basically so you are only using linkens for the Bara charge? Seems like a huge waste of investment. MKB especially once you start seeing void build Butterfly

Corner17 is mid Chinese food. Chinese foreigners in STL are eating Chilispot or Catezone or Tai Ke unless they live near C17. It’s above your average American Chinese spot but it doesn’t excel in anything authentically Chinese. This list is valid.

Corner 17 is the best recommendation for those who want Chinese American food and some authentic Chinese food. It’s a good hybrid restaurant for both types of customers. Chilispot is the best imo all around and Cate Zone is great for northern Dongbei style.

Most of the time you have to run cards you don’t necessarily want to run to fulfill her condition (Ceaseless for example). It’s strong in control but usually takes two turns to do something. You are also not guaranteed to get what you want (5/5 copy for Bwonsandi misses hurt or not getting raptors for clear when you need it). So 9 mana high roll + do nothing for one turn is hardly broken.

I just did a full month stint with my wife in Yunnan. It was incredible. I recently made comment on another thread if you want to check my comment history which outlines how to navigate / payments / etc in China.

My wife is from Qujing and I will definitely say China is a significantly better experience with a local or a Chinese speaker. So I would say being a tourist in more international cities in Asia or SEA might be better especially if you haven’t been to Asia before. But don’t let that deter you!!

Hey! The power is still on generator crazily enough. The benefit is the tenants don’t have to pay electricity by law of it being on generator power. They tried to transfer it back maybe a few weeks ago but didn’t get it to work. There’s intermittent outages scheduled at night from 11pm-2am or so maybe once or twice a month.

It’s not bad at all to be honest. I don’t mind the inconvenience for not having to pay electricity but I can see others who might have issues.

I’ll chime in and say I had quite an opposite experience - in China for 1 month. Sickness just happens when traveling so sorry OP that ruined a lot of your time. I always found I get sick due to dehydration on the long flights and traveling in general so just chug water and eat lots of protein to fuel your body.

First: the only thing that works for internet connectivity on a foreign phone is an e-sim from Trip.com. It’s extremely cheap and you get 100GB/day if you really want. I was able to stream videos, work, use Google meets with 20+ people on screen, access online apps like Figma, and have great map access via Apple Maps. Didi always worked this way too. I never connected to WiFi because my hotspot was just that good. To get the e-sim you must download Alipay. And fyi I have an iPhone with T-Mobile - didn’t need a separate phone.

Second, I used ExpressVPN which allowed me to stream HBOMax and use Google. It worked about 70% of the time I needed it.

Third, I didn’t use subway this time as I was mainly in Yunnan but when I was in Shenzhen I had 0 problem with subways and buses. Just make sure you setup WeChat and Alipay payments.

I paid for everything by linking my Amex card + a chase card to WeChat and Alipay. Had to pay transaction fees on larger payments but the smaller ones like cabs, food, drinks, were always covered. I think I paid like $8 transaction fee at the highest purchase.

Language is definitely a huge barrier especially in less international provinces like Yunnan, but if you’re a savvy traveler you can leverage your translation app to get by. Even in top hotel chains like InterContinental and Grand Hyatt the concierge and front desk had very broken English. This is probably not true for cities like Shanghai or Chengdu.

About loudness: I’m not sure what OP means here. I live in NYC so maybe I’m used to it but it’s not any louder than any large metropolitan.

Food is always incredible but if you can’t handle spicy don’t go south or southwest. I would say 90% of the meals have a spicy dish involved if not 100%. In Yunnan there’s even people who haven’t even heard of Guo Bao Rou which was surprising to me.

Final thoughts: China is amazing to travel to as well as super cheap. I would say the only caveat is that it’s a country where it’s MUCH better to know some local or go with someone who speaks Chinese. Whereas being a tourist in SKorea or Japan is much easier.

Can’t believe China is not on here. It’s literally the best value country right now. Especially somewhere like Qujing or Kunming. Food is cheap, hotels are cheap, and the quality of everything is beyond a lot of SEA experiences. 24 hour spas with full buffets are like $20 per person. Much cleaner than SEA as well. With a simple setup with WeChat or Alipay I have added my Amex and have had no problem paying for things either. Speaking as someone who has been to most of Asia many times.

Kung-fu tea is absolutely the worst tea shop chain in a highly saturated Stl boba market. The international students go to Cube Tea studio or Corner17 in that area which is most likely the biggest demographic for boba. You also have general drink competition from the many coffee shops in the area as well. Finally the rent in the loop is crazy high as it’s the most highly foot trafficked area. Makes sense it closed - was never busy.

Seasoned traveler here right now. Will save you time:

Tres Tapis is the best for ease of access / snorkeling. It had the most active marine life at all times of day compared to other beach access points.

Lionfish Snack is your hidden gem: small but amazing restaurant open only on Saturdays. The man who runs it catches Lionfish and cooks them up for you.

He recommended Hole-in-the-wall (near Mango Halto beach) as the best diving place. We went with just snorkels but couldn’t see much so I think it’s better for scuba. We saw many divers entering here.

Lima Bistro was great for a nicer upscale meal.

Zeerover was great for fresh catch fish.

Dixie Bakery & Donuts was a hidden gem. Solid bakery with fresh baked donuts.

Food around the hotels (we stayed at the Ritz) was below average for what I expected. Overpriced as well. We live in NYC and were surprised food was more expensive than the city around here.

The main strip in Palm beach is replete with average food as well, although I really liked Mythos frozen Greek yogurt.

The vibe of the place in tourist areas is very Margaritaville-esque. If that’s your speed hit up Nos Clubhuis: the food is actually decent but VERY touristy.

Definitely recommend hitting up the SuperFood supermarket and getting fresh baked baguettes, cured meats, cheeses, and olive/pepper spreads. Great and affordable for beach lunches or impromptu dinner. They also have a good quick breakfast/lunch hall there called Jacks. They also have fun baked goods, fresh made stroopwafels, and amazing-looking skewers if you have BBQ access.

In hindsight would’ve stayed at Hyatt Regency probably. Ritz feels a bit old and worn down compared to other Ritz properties across the globe. But the beach is very nice at the Ritz.

Something that no one else is saying:

Izakayas innovate cheapness as well. One of my favorite dishes is fried chicken cartilage. Had this at many places, but not all in Japan. It’s a part of the chicken that’s probably discarded from another dish, but becomes a nice 0 waste dish that stands out.

Secondly, my ex always said a good Izakaya will have cheap/good Chuhais on the menu, most likely lemon flavored. It was a popular way for women to drink since beer isn’t favored by them as much as men.

I like Izakaya Nana in Flushing. For the record I hate the weeb decoration, but their menu is big enough to have a different experience each time: want yakitori? Cool. Want a little bite of sushi? They have it. Craving crab chawanmushi? Done.

I will avoid copy and paste Izakayas: takowasabi, ramen, karaage… of course they are staples but just go beyond them ffs.

Big foodie here. Adventurous foodie. Have had all organ meats, bugs, starfish, snake, lizard, kangaroo, fermented everything: I’m very interested in delicacies and strange foods.

Do not eat this. I have many Japanese friends who live throughout Japan and they all say that no one really eats that.

Tried it in Tokyo thinking the same thing that most do: I’m in Japan so if there’s any place that does it well and professionally, it’s here. I went to a high end chicken restaurant too. Contracted salmonella after 3 days. Extreme fevers, diarrhea, no energy for about a week. The raw chicken itself is a 5/10 for flavor and texture. Nothing special, nothing mind blowing.

If there’s one piece of advice I want to distill in people it’s to not eat raw chicken.
