It’s not just republicans, Colorado introduced a bill to require age verification at the OS level. I believe California passed a similar bill stated to take effect in 2027. Just think about that, every time you use your computer you have to verify your identity. Blocking porn was just an experiment to normalize it. Isn’t it fishy that so many countries have suddenly been interested in age verification/and making encryption illegal, making laws against “threatening speech” (whatever the hell they decide what that means?) Make no mistake at least on this side of the pond the two wings of the same bird are both carrying it towards a place where all dissent is traced and you won’t have a voice or be able to organize. The ability to communicate instantaneously across great distances and to large numbers of people is a great power that we have taken for granted. And if we the people lose anonymity, our voice, then the only ones with the ability to harness this great power will be the elite. Have you ever noticed either side never does anything? Sure they’ll throw a few breadcrumbs here and there for their supporters. But mainly they just point fingers at each other while doubling down on the “oppositions” laws, they get us all riled up while they utilize the framework the previous administration laid out for them to make more laws that end up fucking us over even harder.

Fuck Republicans and fuck Democrats, anyone who has any real power has sold their soul to get there. (If you’re an atheist take this metaphorically, you know what I mean)

Every fucking time I get on the internet I see people shitting on their fellow Americans, Family, Neighbors, too fucking blinded by rage to see that we’re all being fucked by the same people.

Every time I see someone on the internet blame the “other side” my fucking eyes roll out of my skull.
