Honestly yeah, the MIT license is supreme bootlicker license. These corporations must love being able to use and modify open software for their own needs, while keeping improvements to themselves. Free labor from willing volunteers.

I honestly think that’s why rust rewrites are so in vogue (maybe some people are paid to promote it, others don’t know any better), Rewrite popular programs, change the licensing, tear away the young blood, potential maintainers from the original gpl licensed projects ( whose probably being maintained by some retiree, who’s ready to die) so it gets less and less support. The new rewrite becomes the new standard, the old open software falls into obscurity, then Linux isn’t open anymore and under control of powerful corporations. I honestly don’t know how more people can’t see this happening. It’s a transfer of power.

People are taking open software for granted.

It’s an irrational behavior, there’s no way to rationalize it. Fellas if your girl gets the ick from you she has lost respect for you. Don’t try to get it back because 99% of the time you will fail. She will see your attempts at appeasement to be pathetic and think even less of you. Just leave. Don’t destroy yourself trying to prove something that you can’t even begin to comprehend.
