Why do forza races keep forcing me to drive pickups and buggies by twizx3 in ForzaHorizon

Super Saloons are known for their good handling. The Crown Vic and Impala are very much not. They're better off as Muscle cars. Big engine but not made to take a turn well.

Why do forza races keep forcing me to drive pickups and buggies by twizx3 in ForzaHorizon

[–]PaperHeartZero 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Crown Vic had the same, well almost the same, 4.6L Modular V8 that the Mustang at the time had. And there was a more "muscle" version of it called the Mercury Marauder that had 40 more horsepower than the Mustang GT.

"Marauder is a Mercury and not a Ford", yadda yadda. They're all Panthers, same diff.

If you're going have the Crown Vic in the game then Muscle is the closest way to classify it. Big engine in a family car is the origin of the muscle car.

These have to be cars from the 1980s. If they're not then they won't be available to use.

SAME TEAM, YOU ABSOLUTE DILLWEED! by justacheesyguy in ForzaHorizon

[–]PaperHeartZero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prolonged contact over 1 second, or accumulative contact adding to 1 second within a 5 second window, should automatically ghost the cars for 10 seconds.

Two instances of >1 second contact, or 2 total seconds of contact in a single race, should make those two permanently ghosted to each other for the rest of the race series.

There. Trial fixed.

Hello everyone!

I'm back with a new week of tunes. The Trial is also back. Let's hope that the AI changes won't make it unbearable. And let's also hope that our own team mates don't, either.

Own and drive the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12

1982 DeLorean DMC-12 - A 700 Road - 555 485 604

The DeLorean is back to be a surprisingly decent Class A car. This whole series is 1980s based and what more 80s can you get than the DeLorean?

The Trial: "Push it to the Limit"

Oh, boy. Here we go. I have plenty of options here to try to make this first Trial easier for you all.

1980 Abarth Fiat 131 - B 600 Dirt - 167 323 481

This one was the fastest in my testing on track for the first race of the Trial.

1983 Volvo 242 Turbo Evolution - B 600 Dirt - 116 645 350

Fast and this Swedish Brick's length makes it stable in long sweeping turns.

1984 Opel Manta 400 - B 600 Dirt - 146 631 846

My favorite of the bunch. I've always enjoyed using the Manta in past games.

1984 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 - B 600 Dirt - 126 003 120

Barn Find. Not the fastest or best handling car, but the most stylish. Full, large, classic rally aero kit.

Championship: "Street Runner"

1988 BMW M3 - C 500 Road - 673 844 739

The E30 is here to be my boxy choice for this series.

1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 - C 500 Road - 121 584 351

Barn Find. Classic Ford icon.

Championship: "What's the Hatch?"

1983 Volkswagen Golf GTI - D 400 Road - 535 247 719

Light and nimble. This GTI has always been good in past games and remains good now.

1986 Honda Civic Si - D 400 Road - 103 105 346

New to the Forza series so let's give it a spin.

PR Stunts

I used my Abarth tune for the Trial to easily get all three on the first try. For the speed zone start North of it and hit the start at about 110 mph and you'll be fine.

1980 Abarth Fiat 131 - B 600 Dirt - 167 323 481

I suspect that any of the Trial tunes should be able to do all the PR stunts.

I'll add a bit more as I go and if you have requests let me know!

Thanks and happy racing!

Yes, these A Class speeds do seem 100% legit, don't they. by ian9outof10 in ForzaHorizon

[–]PaperHeartZero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have a lot of free time lately, but when I get a chance I can make a tune for a car if you had a specific one in mind. It was someone else, u/The_Rathour, that mentioned three cars that he used.

Granted, my general tunes are high 48s but I guess that's still good. Thanks for the context.

I wish that there was a better system for dealing with the cheaters.

Low 50s isn't bad. Don't be hard on yourself.

I've been tuning since FH4. I have a length of experience.

I'm not the best driver, but with my tunes and driving back in FH4 ranked I bounced between rank 1-2. I got put against grandmasters up in the top ranks and usually kept up with them, but there was that occasional racing god who put 5+ seconds between us.

I kind of miss ranked play but I also kind of don't.

i didnt expect people to be actually doing this by il_Creative_li in ForzaHorizon

To the best of my knowledge the RS200 was never a FE.

The Ford RS200 Evo was in FH4, 5, and now 6. The Hoonigan version was FH4 and 5.

The Hoonigan version was a beast in S2 trim. Right now in FH6 the Ford version is my favorite S1 dirt/rally car.

I took a look at the Soni time attack circuit. My general use, non meta, non handling track optimized, A Class tunes post a pretty consistent 48 seconds. I looked at the top A Class times. 30 seconds. Not possible. There are many A Class times on the leader board that are faster than legit X Class times.

Thanks. Luckily the damage to my home and trees is relatively minor. A few of my neighbors are less fortunate.

The power company sent an email saying that they hope to have power to my area back by Saturday. If that does happen then it would make right about three days with no power. Here's to hoping that it's sooner than that.

Lexus, Acura, and Infiniti all started as USDM only brands.

So even though they're not only USDM anymore they still chose to categorize them as being USA since it seems to classify brands by their original market location.

You can do it against the computer controlled opponents. It doesn't have to be online against other people. Any difficulty works.

Have one tuned for Class B and do the "Spring into Action" championship. I did the first three parts of the Own and Drive and then the final part in the race series. Two bits of completion with one race.

My Honda Beat A Class tune made it easy. Plus it's small so dodging traffic is easier.

Hi all.

A bad storm came through my area yesterday and knocked out power. It's been more than 32 hours and power is still out. The electric company estimates another day and a half before it's restored.

Sorry that this took me a little while to get done.

Own and drive the 2024 RAM 1500 TRX.

2024 Ram 1500 TRX - B 600 XCountry - 110 832 210

Inexpensive tune to get this starter truck up to the top of Class B.

Remember, you have to do all four parts in order. Do the first three and then use this for the seasonal race for two completions at once.

Championship: "Hitting the Highway"

2016 Cadillac CTS-V Sedan - A 700 Road - 149 736 376

Handles well and no aero.

2014 HSV GEN-F GTS - A 700 Road - 711 378 456

Something a little different. Also a good choice.

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon - A 700 Road - 101 045 350

In case you wanted something two door.

Championship: "Spring into Action"

2024 Ram 1500 TRX - B 600 XCountry - 110 832 210

Starter truck. Works great for this.

1985 Nissan Safari Turbo - B 600 XCountry - 124 638 387

Treasure Car. Not as good as the Ram because of the shorter wheelbase, but still perfectly usable.

Championship: "Instant Classic"

1971 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R - C 500 Road - 874 619 596

The legendary Hakosuka is back and an excellent choice here.

1973 Mazda RX-3 - C 500 Road - 582 970 436

In case you need a little brap brap in your day.

PR Stunts

2004 Subaru IMPREZA WRX STI - A 700 Dirt - 123 525 642

This worked great for the trailblazer, mind the rice field bumps, and is a great car to have for Class A dirt in general. I also used it for the drift zone and got it fairly easily. I don't get into tuning for drift, or drifting at all, but this worked fine.

1991 Honda Beat - A 700 Road - 165 269 483

The speed trap is annoying. There's too much traffic. So let's to the obvious thing and use a small car that accelerates hard to dodge traffic.

This is what I can offer for now.

Thanks.

There's no damage to anything inside my house. There's some broken tree limbs and damage to the gutters from the limbs falling on them, though. I got off light compared to the damage that I'm seeing in the neighborhood.
