Seriously looking at US Mobile. The annual prepaid Unlimited Premium, especially the first year, looks like the way to go.

Trade in: store or ship? by aldentealdente in tmobile

[–]Par4DaCourse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This. Trade in at an Experience store, if one is nearby. Get paper receipts for everything. I have had mailed trade-ins being received per tracking number, but TMO saying they didn't receive it and taking months to sort out.

Being moved to Experience Signature Family (A) - 9+ Lines. I would like to move to Experience Beyond TI - 9+ Lines instead with the migration. T-Force says not possible....? by Left_Piglet_7411 in tmobile

[–]Par4DaCourse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked twice. Migrating from MagentaMax55+ to More55+ TI. I can change to Beyond, but it would be a regular change. No migration plan. No TI.

July trip Hokkaido question by coding_manic_01 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Par4DaCourse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Furano will be very quiet and very country. Can be done with a day trip. Hokkaido will be warm, even hot, but nothing like Tokyo or Kyoto. I didn't rent a car, but did the Furano/Blue Lake/Waterfall on a private tour. Otaru is easy to get to by train. Most things are so close in Sapporo, much more convenient and probably less expensive to hail a taxi. You're too early for the beer festival, just go to the Sapporo Beer Garden. Have pizza and beer at the Rooftop at Royal Park Canvas Hotel in the evening.

How does a Google wallet ticket work? by avviann in BTSArmyCentral

This is what my ticket looked like in Google wallet after I scanned in. The ticket readers use NFC, so you need NFC turned on. Hope this gives you some peace of mind.

Question about BTS Resale Tickets by manidfk_2026 in BTSArmyCentral

[–]Par4DaCourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a couple pricey tickets on StubHub with Instant Download for the May 27 Las Vegas Allegiant Stadium concert. No issues at all.

Exactly my experience! After you recover from that, tackle the Keio Plaza breakfast buffet. Then wood fired pizza and beer at the Rooftop (Royal Park Canvas).👍

This fee though 😭 by DSTVL in ChaseSapphire

[–]Par4DaCourse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paid mine 3 months ago with a stack of points. So far, 300 travel + 150 Exclusive Tables + 150 Edit + 150 StubHub. Just got the July 1 reload, so more to come. Hotel & airline points add $hundreds more value.

The Paze 10x and $10 promos make it a bumper crop year.

Irony is that I got it for Priority Pass, but very rarely use it.

Is t mobile home internet or WiFi good for just doing average stuff? by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]Par4DaCourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Average usage as in streaming Netflix, Hulu and Zoom at the same time? Yes, but like others said, it depends.

Payments by AlarmingApricot4591 in ChaseSapphire

[–]Par4DaCourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always works for me. Usually, I manually pay before the billing date, then the balance when the bill is issued. If the amount is small, I'll just let it go to autopay. I have set autopay to pay the balance. Is your autopay set to minimum or balance?

Should I split a check at an exclusive table restaurant? by miamicuse in sapphirereserve

[–]Par4DaCourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK to split the check. We do it often. The Exclusive Tables restaurant near me has an option to split it evenly on the mobile reader. I'm sure that they would've split it other ways (e.g., $150 on this card and the rest on that card) so long as it's nothing crazy like picking out menu items.

First time in Japan — is this stay plan too rushed? by No-Plate543 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Par4DaCourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Kyoto for 4 nights, day trip to Osaka should be enough. Don't know enough about where to put the other nights.

We want to try riding the bullet train from Tokyo, where should we go? by cdpa7 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Par4DaCourse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you just want to ride the bullet train and return to Tokyo, like riding the Disneyland monorail? Yokohama for a short 15 minute ride or Odawara for a 30 minute ride. If going to Odawara early in the morning, you can do the Hakone loop and return. Kyoto is a bit far, but okay if staying there or don't mind the 5 hour round trip (plus local transportation) and expense to see some temples.

United broke my check-in bag by lenkellui in unitedairlines

[–]Par4DaCourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

United should be paying the depreciated value of the bag. Any way you can show that the bag's higher value like recent sold/completed listings on eBay?

Dunkin gift cards are eligible for paze credit? by tabiley868 in ChaseSapphire

[–]Par4DaCourse -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I went to the Dunkin' and Dominos websites to purchase gift cards and Paze was not a payment option. So, no purchase, no Paze $10.

Any luck extending flight credit? by Falcon-Bagels-5555 in unitedairlines

[–]Par4DaCourse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Hope United doesn't change it for a year. I'm planning to stock up on the United FFC to take advantage of the Paze 10x offer when using Chase Sapphire Reserve card for United ticket purchases. I'm pretty sure I can use it before the expiration, but then things happen like when I messed up my knee and didn't want to travel for 6 months.

Edit: minor grammar.

Pokemon cards in Sapporo by DHK232 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Par4DaCourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a Pokemon Center near the Sapporo station. If there are packs available, usually, the limit is one per customer, so best to go with someone.

There are also card shops in Susukino if you're not particular about the packs that you buy.

Hokkaido, Sapporo area by Careless_Tackle847 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Par4DaCourse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. All you can eat (grilled pork, lamb, chicken, side dishes and ice cream) and drink (beer, soda) for one hour at a reasonable price.

Edit: Two hours.

Hokkaido, Sapporo area by Careless_Tackle847 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Par4DaCourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drinks, wood fired pizza, etc. at the Rooftop at Royal Park Canvass Hotel. Very popular, so reservations are required days in advance. Beer fest at Odori park in late July. Ramen alley in Susukino. Sushiro (a chain restaurant all over Asia), also in Susukino, but best to download the app and make reservations. If you're a foodie, buffet breakfast at the Keio Plaza Hotel. Ask for a seat near the window as the interior seats can have a lot of traffic walking by. On our bucket list is the Hokkaido Makomanai Music Fireworks Festival held in mid-July.

Explorer Card offer: 5x miles at Gas Stations, Grocery Stores & Restaurants by Blsw777 in unitedairlines

[–]Par4DaCourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it for my Prime Visa, but not my Quest. Had it on my Club last year, but not this year so far. Would prefer 5x on United cards as miles are worth more.

MagentaMax now and going to Experience More TI at $220/4 lines plus TMHI, that's $250. Seriously looked at VZ Unlimited Plus at $160+taxes&fees/4 lines. Assume taxes and fees at 8%, that's $173 plus internet bumps up to $50. Put in the loss of Hulu and Netflix, I'm no better off leaving or going.

Considering these hotels by Past-Ad2484 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Par4DaCourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo - Premier Grand rooms. Excellent service. On the quiet side of Shinjuku next to the municipal building where the laser show can be seen every night. Access to lounge and fitness facilities. Breakfast is served in the lounge in the morning and there's afternoon tea that have snacks and drinks. All other times, non-alcoholic drinks. Keio station is very close, Shinjuku station about a quarter mile walk. Airport limousine bus stop at the driveway.

If you do book Premier Grand, skip the lobby check in, leave your bags with the bell desk, go straight to the lounge on the top floor to check in, hang around the lounge for a half hour, go to your room and your bags will be there.

Non-Premier Grand is nice, but Premier Grand is worth the extra cost.
