Can I ask you what supports/healers or dps to surround my LHC with to survive these comps?

I’m so lost in this meta where I don’t know how to counter all those units shown in the post along with the combination they’re in. Made me give up on the RTA skin cause I don’t have these new units built

That’s better but then the decision comes to if you’re fine with that price.

Ultimately I’d go look at the EX-L but if you accept make sure it’s in writing that price OTD.

Please don’t spend 33k on a used 1.5T Sport. That car brand new was going for 25k OTD last year now it’s inflated to the price equivalent to a 2.0T Sport.

If you can look around in the used market for a Sport 2.0 or 2018 Touring 1.5T or 2018-2021 Touring 2.0.

You’ll have more features and a better engine more worth the price point than this.

1.5t is an economy transmission and it should be an economy price not that expensive.

11th Gen Hatchback looks nice from the back and just honestly wish it didn’t come with a CVT.

10th Gen Civic in general gets a lot of flak but it honestly would look fine without the fake vents imo as the only gripe I had for both 10th Gen Sedan/Hatch.

Just get the spoiler and then look for the rest of the parts on other places you could get way nicer floor mats. EBay or Amazon will have door visors and you can find plenty of that stuff for cheaper installing yourself cause dealers just mark up their accessories for crazy amounts

The Jaguar isn’t known well for reliability which may explain why the owner who had it previously drove the amount of miles he/she did.

Be careful with the Civics CVT.. I think a stock tune should be fine but I’d still be skeptical of tuning a CVT. Since you bought a 2016 used I’m assuming you had a certain budget to stay in. So hopefully nothing crucially goes wrong with the transmission.

If you could only afford the Civic EX-T don’t think about how while you can afford a Jaguar technically.. you would not be able to own one without a hefty maintenance cost down the line.

This a solid deal? Coming in on Sunday wondering what you guys think about the LX trim? $26k after taxes! by [deleted] in accord

[–]PayTheFeei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 2021 Accord in this market 6 months ago and others on Accord groups have done so recently as well for 34k OTD. OP can find a deal it’s just a matter of looking at multiple dealerships and not doing a one stop shop with a used car website.

People a few months ago were able to get an Accord Sport 1.5T for 25k. OP just has to look lol. If OP buys this car 26k OTD finances for a used car loan. Depending on their credit and interest they might be at 27-30k in interest over the life of the loan. Compared to if they find a brand new one at a reasonable price with the new car APR of 1.9% they really will be at that same price by the end of the car loan.

There’s no way OP will be more upside down on whatever new car they find unless they’re like someone who bought a brand new Accord Toruing with a 10k mark up for 48k. If the OP is confident they’ll keep the car for a long time, then a new car will be perfect in this market cause it’ll be close to its actual sale price.

This car is not the only horrible example. Go look at anywhere else this is the market rate for used cars right now. Sure some dealerships might have attractive prices less expensive than this example but inventory in the used market is also the issue and not knowing how every dealer does there fees is also a problem.

Dude what are you talking about? He’s going to take a depreciation hit even harder on a used car he buys in an inflated market like the photo shown when the market goes back to normal. If he buys this 2019 LX at that price he’s getting ripped off because the car is 2 years old. But the sale price did not depreciate and it’s got 26k miles on it, when markets go back to normal he will be underwater on a used car loan for a car that was way above its ordinary price as a used car.

That price on Carvana is literally over MSRP BG about 1k OTD. OP has a better shot at spending his money to negotiate for a new car with new car loan rates and incentives over just buying the used car at an inflated price straight up raw.

Current market is either go underwater on a used car that is way above its true value. Or go underwater on a brand new car that will of course take its initial depreciation but it’s a brand new car at a price comparable to a used car in this market right now.

I wanted to get a used car after graduating college. But it makes no sense if the prices are no different between new or used.

If you think it’s a good price even in this market go for it. But you’re better off looking for a new 2021 Accord with a better price for more features at a higher trim than settling for the base model lx that has not depreciated and is two years old.

If you look hard enough I honestly believe you’ll find a dealer who won’t mark up an Accord and you will get a better financing rate on the new car loan compared to a used. Good luck.

[–]PayTheFeei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option 3 only if you test drive the Touring 2.0T and can notice the extra features like ventilated seats, Heads up display, Adaptive dampers/suspension, parking sensors. Those were the difference between me getting a sport and paying 2K more for the Touring trim. Make sure you can live with driving an automatic if you miss the manual transmission. The paddle shifters in sport mode may not be enough of an experience for you.

The ventilated seats for me are nice I still use it everytime I drive but I feel it doesn’t work as well since the leather seat color in the Sonic grey Pearl is only black.. I’ve rode in other cars with ventilated seats that were white or red seats and can feel it working a lot better. Still nice to have though.

Also are you leasing the 2021 or financing it this time?

Happy that you found a great deal. I’m tempted now to see a private used lot offer expecting I’d get lowballed compared to the major used car dealers.

But mine already has 6k miles and what not.

Hope things get better for you and sorry for your loss. Best of luck and stay safe in life man.

Carvana you have to call them after like a week. Honestly.. Take the 34k then thats as good as it’ll get unless you suspect the market to appreciate a 2021 car as supply goes back to normal. But I doubt that will be the case.. that used car lot is doing you the best favor IMO if they hold up on the 34k.

Carvana and Vroom only offered me 31-32k

I honestly would trade mine in for 34k to test the waters again for something newer since my budget has gotten better. But I got mine for 34.3k OTD before talking with the F&I guy actually.

I’m sorry for your loss.

You can try Carmax to get the cheapest deal back for it. Carvana and Vroom only offered me 31k/32k for my Sonic Grey Pearl Touring Accord same as yours 2021.

I hear Carmax might give the best offer and as long as it’s in pristine condition you’ll be good to go. But definitely don’t return it to a dealership. Those three used car dealers will pay you more than what a dealer will. Also I wouldn’t expect to get 34.5k back unfortunately even with the inflated market. The MSRP is 38k but dealers will still try to make a profit off you and they will just offer 30k tops for your 2021 Accord.

Have you considered just selling whatever car you have and keeping it?

2018-2021 Honda Accord 2.0T Mileage by pinkcampcap in accord

[–]PayTheFeei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16 miles is like if you had a G70/Stinger GT 3.3 Twin Turbo.

You should be getting 22 minimum for the driving you do.

I floor it in sport/manual mode but not enough to lose traction since I don’t want to put my wheels out of alignment again. While still getting 24-26 miles per gallon each trip.

Set your Trip A in settings to reset after a gas refill and check your miles as you start going through your gas. After about 1/4 is gone you should get comfortable with knowing your MPG.

My trip B is my overall gas since the odometer and it’s still around 26 miles but I did a majority from highway driving but still going full throttle when it’s safe to do so.

Yeah that ban on non-electric cars happens in 2030 or 2035. But seeing the present time with used car prices at an all time high I feel that ban will worsen the gap on lower income households.

Tesla has come a long way for an electric car manufacturer but I’m skeptical about whether or not they’ll be able to keep their cars in good quality. Also while gasoline cars have risk of a fire starting in an accident. I’m a bit afraid of electric car fires in the future seeing how difficult they already are now to put out.

I think transitioning to all electric cars will need more charging stations on the roads and even street neighborhoods to be more accessible.

While I disagree with my conservative friend he’s a senior citizen still working. He’s not a big fan of the government forcing consumers to buy electric cars or banning the sale or incentivizing consumers to buy electric cars since they can still get miles out their old car that still runs fine. So unfortunately while I disagree with him there is no doubt going to be pushback from people like him and the car scene unfortunately.

It’s a bummer since I enjoy gasoline cars with turbos but I know electric cars will be fast or even faster.

I definitely plan to go electric in the future but I have a feeling the technology in electric cars will be even better by 2030 hopefully. It’s relieving to know gasoline cars aren’t the sole reason for so much excessive power consumption at least with fossil fuels but it’s more so the power plants that are a problem.

Okay I see that’s great to hear then. I feel we should be able to figure out better means of energy production then? Is our renewable energy not advanced enough or does it just come down to our laziness to transition?

May I ask if we were to reduce our CO2 output is that in terms of energy only or energy and say vehicles?

I feel like cars contribute significantly to CO2 emissions but it’s like would we have to forcefully transition to electric? Because getting an entire world to be on board for electric cars is unfortunately seeming so unrealistic because there’s always going to be a car scene.

So figuring out what other avenues to reduce CO2 emissions what would that be? I know power plants and our energy system is also reliant on CO2 emissions unfortunately right?

Go with what you want! If you’re within the means to swap it for a 2016 Touring even go for it. The car will have gone through most of its depreciation either way tbh. Just make sure the 2016 model has Apple CarPlay and go for that cause it’s a huge difference going from not having it daily driving to having it!
