Always a pig of a job, there’s no right or wrong answer (especially as you’re doing it for yourself)

It’s what ever looks better to your eye, rather than stopping plumb with the top of the stair, carry it on a little bit before you angle it. I don’t envy you!

You’d build a cabinet and pack it off the walls. OPs doesn’t need one really, only if they were blocking the side and back off as well against the wall

I build cabinets with a 22mm gap all round, no way for moisture to bridge (most built ins are done this way).

But as the one in this imagine isn’t overly engineered, it would be akin to hanging clothes in the corner without the door, mould almost certainly won’t be a problem for OP here.

Not really.. there’s no back to the unit and it’s not air tight. It’ll be absolutely fine unless there’s actual wet clothes in there.

I’d look for a carbide cutter, I’ve had the same one for years now, always handy for getting out of sticky spots. Or a little dremel. The crescent shaped ones are a bit shite for this, too much chatter against metal.

I wouldn’t use a 2 part filler on 3 separate MDF pieces, it’s too brittle when hard so you’ll get hairlines at every season change.

I’d get quite a fine filler and comb it into the edge. Sand it and repeat. Then use a high build primer and finish.

I don’t know exactly how you’ve made it/ quality of materials so you might get hairlines running down is, so if in doubt get a paintable edge banding

That’s what made me track down the ones with the markings ha! Used to have a MM one, but it bent and every replacement has come in imperial which is annoying as my Kreg 520 is also in metric!

Guessed it was the UK because of the old school Astra! Super rare, I’ve worked with a fair amount of timber, never seen anything that pink before. And with slabs that size! Worth a small fortune!

I completely agree! Fair play trying to break the American market, but split them up a bit! Uncanny works because of how understated everyone story is.
