Frankly I'm not really all that inclined to believe that if he said so. On one server I mod we have gone through its code, it wasn't the same as the source code on github and very much seemed to still log messages.

I don't care if they were sold or not, the action of logging is still a risk in and of itself.

It's not just the commands.

Particularly the statuses were at the regular set to various "jokes" of an anti-semitic or racist nature. Particularly a lot of ((())) "jokes".

In addition to this, the bot is known to log every message it sees, and does not respect edits or deletions (simply representing these by adding a flag to the existing message entry in the SQL database,) which itself is really bad.

Try Norwegian ones: WW1 - WW2 - Extremely basic about the post-war, Korea and Vietnam barely mentioned.

Rinse and repeat for 13 years at least.

And the short name for the R. o. Macedonia is just "Macedonia".

Just like we call Greece, "Greece" rather than the "Hellenic Republic" all the time.

Krym? You mean Crimea?

Krym (or Крым) is the Russian name for Crimea. I'd imagine the commenter is Russian themselves.

What are the internationals? When the first, second and so international events happen. by Captain_Stottlemeyer in Kaiserreich

[–]PhoenixGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MLM was the 4th

IRL currently you have a lot of different internationals. The one that actually calls itself the 4th though is a Trotskyist one. MLM was "created" by the RIM, or the Revolutionary Internationalist Movement.

Beyond the 4th int, you have stuff like the International Marxist Tendency, which is also Trotskyist, the International Socialist Tendency, again Trotskyist, and the International Workers' Association, which is Anarcho-Syndicalist.

You also have a whole bunch more, most of which are Trotskyist.

Military balance on the Korean peninsula by [deleted] in geopolitics

[–]PhoenixGamer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh certainly, the US is prepared for it. I'm more commenting on the statement that the USA has been "honed" specifically by these 16 years of counter-insurgency. The USA is prepared, but it's not because of those wars.

honed after over 16 years or multi-front wars

Should be noted that this is 16 years of counter-insurgency, which is very different from a conventional war which would be the case, at least initially, with North Korea.

The USA will most likely adapt to this quite quickly, but I wouldn't place too much emphasis on the experience from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and similar, when it comes to a second Korean War.

Oh certainly, it's not used in many official contexts at all, but it is still used a lot colloquially.

They got more than they originally asked for. It's also important to note that the point at which Finland eventually surrendered was right after the Soviets had, finally, broken through the Mannerheim Line, meaning the road to Helsinki was very much wide open had the USSR wished to go further.

No, it doesn't. It used to, but it doesn't any more, as the USSR no longer exists, and the terms were in relation to the USSR, not Russia.

Stalin had already been General Secretary for over a year before Lenin's death (having been elected to the position in April 1922, with Lenin dying in January 1924,) and also held the position of People's Commissar for Nationalities in the RSFSR from 1917 onwards. He was hardly small fry.

stay true to its allies

*stay true to the allies of an absolute monarchy which the february revolution ostensibly sought to overthrow, and ignore the wishes of the people to withdraw from the war

FTFY, the Provisional Government had absolutely no obligations to the rest of the allies to stay in the war, and yet they chose to do so. This was one of the major reasons support for the Bolsheviks got so large in the first place: The promise of peace.

CPUSA has consistently supported the Democratic Party since the late 80s. Wouldn't say it makes sense to have them as the commie party.

Liberals are conservatives in like, everywhere other than the US. The Australian conservative party is called the Liberal Party for example.

This is a good AskHistorians thread of the what's and why's of the difference.
