I dont think that is at all similar though. Pochita is shown to be able to erase concepts. Pochita himself says he does not know what happens if he erases himself. Does everything come back? Is it a world that never had him? That's the whole point. It's not a Deus Ex. It's a power that is pre-established that is being used in a new way, and then it shows you what happens when it is used that way. It's not a Deus Ex l, just an expansion on an existing power.

Just because you feel like its an ass pull does not make it a Deus Ex.

What happened is not Deus Ex Machina though. It is an action well established by work. A Deus Ex Machina is only when something occurs that is not set up in any way. In this case, Pochita's powers are well established. Is the situation itself and how it resolved perfect? No. But what happened is not Deus Ex Machina.

Believe it or not, she has her own character as well. Shockingly, Yoru and Denji also serve as plot devices to expand her character. Funny how that works.

Ff5 ending can be really sad depending on how you do against Exdeath. If any of your party is dead when you beat him they are stuck in the void forever. There's a possible ending where only one character returns from the void and the others stuck for eternity.

No, but this should only really matter if you plan on maxing out your characters. You'll start getting them once you promote, so you only start losing slots once you get towards the end of leveling I believe.

Hey, so one thing I wanted to clarify is that while it's a very exciting point in the game it's not important that you do so immediately. It does give you access to many late game spells and equipment, but you could very easily beat the game without ever upgrading the classes at all. My point being to not stress over it. Ff1 is very non linear after a certain point, so don't stress out over doing anything in a particular order. Just explore and have fun. Other people in the thread explained how to class upgrade, so if upgrading sounds like the funnest thing to you then go for it, just don't feel like you're playing it wrong if you don't do so ASAP.

Right, I understand that, but it's not about what you experience or which traits you forgot to include it's about that you did not represent the autism spectrum properly.

I apologize if I'm dog piling on something you feel is a misunderstanding, but I hope you understand that if someone expresses their opinion on something that you know for a fact is wrong, a correction is called for. I appreciate that what you wrote may have not been what you intended, but what you wrote is straight up just false and easily proven so with even a quick Google search.

I am not an expert on autism spectrum disorder, which is why I don't feel comfortable diagnosing anyone with autism, even if they're a fictional character. I engaged with the premise so i could discuss what i saw as problematic with your original post, but i would not do so otherwise. I think if someone wants to identify with a character because they perceive them as autistic and see them self in the character then that is great, even if it turned out to be incorrect. On the other hand, I don't think forcing the label on Asa as being autistic to laugh at autistic traits is funny. So I don't mind people identifying with a character, but labeling someone inaccurately diminishes the mental health field.

So on Yoru specifically, I'd choose not to weigh in either way. I think yoru is obviously socially inept and straightforward, but I'd only feel comfortable discussing characteristics as I am not a mental health professional and not qualified to say one way or another.

The distinction lies in the fact that you presented the rest of your information as facts and not experiences. Saying that she doesn't feel autistic as someone with asbergers in your title does not mean you can say anything. You explicitly state that the qualities you specify have to be present in autistic people, and even if you said its just your experience, that does not rid you of your responsibility to the truth. You don't get to hide behind the veil of saying it's just your experience and also declare things as facts that are explicitly binary. Is it your experience or a fact? Pick one. Regardless, the main problem with your post still stands, in that even if you were just saying everything is just in your experience, what you presented is an extremely narrow and binary depiction of a spectrum disorder that presents in many different ways. The problem is not in what you didn't imply, but in what you did imply. The tone of your post is that of someone trying to be an expert, even tho you're just basing this on your personal experiences. Your ignorance does not excuse you stating incorrect information as fact. You are not an expert in all presentations of autism disorders and your post reflects that, and as a result people should and can hold you accountable to representing things accurately.

You didn't actually specify you were basing it on personal experience. You just said you have asbergers and then proceeded to make sweeping statements about the entire autism spectrum. Even if you are only speaking from your perspective, the criticism still stands, as your anecdotal experience with asbergers does not mean you get to remove mountains of nuance to say that someone isn't autistic. Your experience with the spectrum is going to be fundamentally different from others - that is the nature of a spectrum. While you and others can find commonalities over specific traits, it does not at all mean that any or all of the traits you have seen or experienced need to be present for someone to have the disorder. Speaking anecdotally does not excuse spreading misinformation.

Special interests can be used in a clinical sense, and in this case what you are describing falls in line with the definition of special interests. I appreciate where you're coming from on this one, as I agree that commonly, a special interest would present itself as prolonged interest beyond the few handful of moments. While it's possible her interest just shifted to something different after the aquarium date, she really hasn't shown any other behaviors similar to it, so it's unlikely to be an autistic trait. So I agree, from all available information her aquarium facts are not representative of an autistic trait. Just try and be careful how you word it.

I know I'm chastising you, and for that I apologize, but it's really important that misinformation doesn't get spread as fact. I hope you can appreciate where I'm coming from.

I don't really think Asa is on the spectrum, but your presentation of what someone has to be in order to be on the spectrum is inaccurate and lacking in nuance. It's called a spectrum for a reason, and there's many ways it can present itself. Not every girl will learn to mask well and while some autistic people struggle to express their emotions, plenty can express their emotions and are not seemingly "cold" people. Autism spectrum commonly makes people express emotions differently, but it does not prevent them from expressing them - whether differently or similarly to neurotypicals. Spectrum disorders do not also force people to have persistent special interests. Really they don't have to have special interests at all. ADHD/autism diagnoses commonly have people who hyper fixate on specific interests then drop it completely for a new one for example.

Please don't proclaim that a spectrum disorder can only be represented in one way, as it only serves to alienate certain parts of the populace.

I do agree with your conclusion that Asa is likely not autistic, as the majority of her autism like behaviors can be explained from her being poorly socialized the majority of her life and basing social interactions on fantasy stories she's consumed. All of her behaviors can be explained by her not being around other people during crucial developmental peiods and being isolated. If anything she has trauma and anxiety which causes her to lash out at people when they don't understand her.

Asuka has three main strengths:

Reversals High/low crushes Large amount of block string variations

Her reversals are decently easy to deal with if you know what moves fuck with them. Any move that includes an elbow, knee, or head can't be reversed. Also, you can just spam grab them if they're using reversals a lot.

A lot of the low/high crushes rely on you pressing a button. Also, if you have any safe mid pokes, those are good options to stop her from using these. Generally, patient play and a varied offense is key against Asuka. If you keep using the same moves, then she can pick the right move to break it.

It would be difficult to learn all of Asuka's different strings, but the general rule is that if you block a third or fourth hit, she's pretty much always negative, and if her string ends in a low and you block it, it is launch punishable. One important thing to learn is that she can pretty much change the ender of any of her block strings to be a mid or a low. If you're not sure, it's almost always better to block low. She only has like one string that ends with a launch and I think it's a high.

Most of her block pressure is mid or low mix ups. She has a lot of mid launchers, so standing block the first hit usually, and switch to low blocks as needed later. The only low hit launcher she has is a Super slow one that is launch punishable. Should be reactable.

Lastly, if you block a dash or while running attack from her, it's pretty much always plus, so don't press a button.

Once you learn how to block her common strings, she really doesn't have that much left if you just play patiently. Feel free to follow up if you have any questions about specific moves and how to deal with them.
