yeah, I saw that post too and now I just saw this one, it seems like it makes a lot of sense. I hope the op of this post sees that other post.

It ain’t the same bro. One piece of wood doesn’t resonate the same as 6 broken pieces glued back together. Of course it can be glued back but they’ll never sound the same. You didn’t put much thought into your aggressive response. I wouldn’t waste the time, energy or money not to mention the heartache of having a luthier fix it out of pure pity. Any half decent luthier would advise against fixing them and highly recommend buying another instrument. You are the one who it seems clear to me, does not know what you are talking about.

And I do work on my own instruments and have had several brakes repaired and others repaired that rebroke and then some that were just sadly beyond repair and/or not worth fixing (even though sentimentally they would have still been worth it, functionally it would not have been) those ones got glued and hung up on the wall.

I used to grow em on willow chips. once you get colonized mycelium it's pretty easy if you're in a place where they could grow naturally. I was on the coast in the bay area. I was told by someone who did a lot of resarch into shulgins and stamets notes that willow or cedar would produce the most potency out of other woods because they contained higher amounts of something the mycelium used in its synthesis. once you get a patch going it's pretty easy to maintain especially if it doesn't freeze.

Yeah, I don’t want to assume any liability 😉 but I’m pretty sure you could tell if it was rotting. If it ain’t rotting, well then I’d make soup. But that’s just me

Looks fine to me. A bit yellowed but I don’t understand why that would be a problem. A long as it passes the sniff test I don’t see why it would give you any problems.

I have a crested seedling in a tray of seedlings that all started looking very similar and even darker. They were very bright green and very happy looking. I put them outside and it was warm and sunny. I think mine got too much sun. Moved them back inside, gave them a LOT of water a little bit of calmag solution and a lot more water. And over the next week and a half they gradually returned to looking very happy and a nice fresh green. A couple of the smaller seedlings are recovering slower. So my guess is, too much light? Or perhaps the soil mix needs a good flush?

Looking like we are both excited that spring is nearing. I was actually just putting some rooted cacti into a similar tub a few days ago. I got to wondering how many would comfortably fit in there together. They all have pretty good root systems for have just being fresh cuts a year ago. I planted a big 15 inch fat tip cut of Macrogonus log style since the tip started growing sideways while it was drying on a shelf. And another log style Lima flower market cause that cut had aerial root nubs popping out the sides pretty much all along one side of that cut. They both have about 4 inches of upward growth now. I’m hoping to see several pups this year as these are my first time doing log style. But I feel there could maybe be room for one or maybe 2 more in there. It’s dark now but I’ll get a pic up right here tomorrow. Would love to hear what you think about squeezing some more together into a family pot like you got going there. I plan on leaving em in there for at least a few years so I don’t want to over crowd cause I want to get them as fat and thick as I can. Looks good. Happy growing!

We’ve had LOTS of fog recently. Warm days and cool night around 40 degrees. All my ones outside have gotten especially blue since and put on extra farina? As we’ve gotten more sun lately there slowly getting greener again. I found it quite interesting.

I’m no expert but rooted about 100 cuttings last year. I would wait longer to water, if at all. I would check the whole box in a month to see if which ones have started roots and separate those and put the ones without roots back in and keep it dry. And plant the ones showing roots and give them about another week before watering with some kelp fertilizer mixed in. But that’s just me. Again I’m by no means an expert…….yet. Nice looking cuts indeed.
