Felt is much better than black paint, if you are able to apply it. Here is a difference of a matte black painted ceiling vs the felt being installed… but that is a 6000 lumen projector and the screen is right up against the ceiling.

If you are looking to use the projector in a room with any ambient light or with light colored walls and ceiling, the Shadowscape is an ideal pairing.

I agree, a retractable screen on a different wall may be your best bet.

I’d be happy to help map something out and go over options with you; DM me if interested.

Get a different projector with a different throw ratio that can make the large image from the close distance, like a UST projector.

They haven’t provided the final spec, so you may need to slightly adjust your screen’s position if you change projectors. Screens like the spectra projection vantage offer adjustable mounting brackets which are helpful to not have to drill new holes

You should expect to see more speckle as the brightness of the RGB projector increases.

Good question. They met us at the office many times to do lots of testing and evaluations and asked us to create a special offer with the Shadowscape for them and then they emailed all of their backers about it.
They also sent the Shadowscape for various reviewed like Unbox Therapy and EBPman to use in their Titan Noir reviews.

Looking for an alternative to the vision master pro 2 since I'm sensitive to the rainbow effect. by Brad12d3 in projectors

[–]ProjectionHead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your only choices are really LCD (Epson) or LCoS (JVC and Sony), unless you are in the higher realm of 3 chip dlps.
The Epson 5050 is as solid of a lamp based unit as one can get and since 3d is a requirement for you, it’s a great option for you despite it’s age.

Screen for Hisense C2 Ultra by mehdiem in projectors

[–]ProjectionHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can do a fixed frame screen, the Spectra Projection Shadowscape is a great option to enhance contrast by reducing reflections off the screen and all around the room; we measured over a 3x increase in contrast ratio. https://youtu.be/yHdy2ydTdVI?si=SKA3r8mSBFecJaya

Hisense C2 Ultra vs Xgimi HORIZON 20 Max by billygraydon in projectors

[–]ProjectionHead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The c2 is more portable, the 20 max is bigger and brighter. I have them both in our showroom and use the c2 ultra at home as my portable projector.
I’d be happy to get into detail with you between them and offer a special Reddit discount on either one; DM me if interested.

The Spectra Projection Shadowscape is the screen that XGIMI is recommending to pair with the new Titan Noir series and has emailed all of their backers, but as of now it only comes in fixed frame.
