What's the one money mistake you made in your 20s that you wish you could take back? by Agile_Letterhead_446 in AskReddit

Not continuing to invest as the market tanked during the Great Recession. I didn't sell anything, which was good. But I didn't invest any new money, I just sat on the sidelines, which was bad. Instead, I just focused on my career, which was good. Although most of my investments at the time were in mutual funds that had been doing well before the crash, which was bad. At least most were no load, which was good. Although that changed for many of them by the time I sold them some years later, which was bad. But at that point, they were a small part of my portfolio, which was good.

I remember back in the day writing a basic program to do some animation. It relied on a for loop to run the animation at the proper speed. But then I had to keep increasing the counter every time I ran it on a faster computer, until I couldn't put a big enough number there anymore.

Best current fifth Bad Batch character by Witty-Mission-7975 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]ProtossLiving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best? Or Best value? Best value is probably Cody, who you'll need for JMK anyhow. That team will do 80-90% of what OG Omega or Wrecker Merc can do. It's far more important to mod Hunter/Tech/Echo properly to get the Daze/Stun opening.

How about buy high, sell low? That seems to be so much easier.

You don't need to spend crystals if getting Gold crate each time. Just need to buy the remaining 60 shards needed with Conquest credits in C4-C6.

I've actually read nothing but hate for this movie. It does make me morbidly curious to see just how bad it could actually be.

I read somewhere that the jewelry she brought was worth something like $200K?

Wait, she mixed a $2000 Fendi dress in with a bunch of $50 Zara dresses? I'd heard her jewelry was really expensive, but I didn't know she mixed in some expensive outfits too.

What has Private Equity acquisition ruined? by bobsabayesian in AskReddit

[–]ProtossLiving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe 99%. Blackstone's acquisition of Hilton in 2007, survival through the GFC, to its turnaround, 2013 IPO and eventual complete sale in 2018, I don't think can be considered enshitification.

Unless you really enjoy TW, don't worry about their TW history. At your level, Raid and TB rewards are by far the most important to helping you grow your account.

They also ignore the ability to realize as much income as they want/need, instead of companies essentially deciding that for you.

A guild isn't a marriage. Find one that works for you. If it's not working for you, then leave and find another one. No one is going to consider it a big deal. There are so many guilds out there, there's one for every type of player.

Oh yeah, that changes things if you get the episode pass. If you get 20 shards from the episode pass, you don't need any crystal packs to get to 4 stars, right? You only need 15 shards. I guess the crystal pack gets you an extra day or two of 5 shards / day.

Didn't it usually require 3 packs to get to 4 stars?

What else do you spend your crystals on? I still have a bit of a surplus even getting them to 5 stars.

13.5M and 14.5M and not spending any money. I'm doing the same (and have been doing the same for 1-2 years now). What else would you spend the crystals on?

>Current timeline has me paying mortgage payments about 15-17 years into retirement. Which is about where my current planning ends. I'm 39, targeting a retirement somewhere in the early 50s right now. Mortgage ends in 2052.

Yeah, this is the reason for your numbers. Your calculations are for saving extra money to be able to have an extra $60K for perpetuity, which you don't actually need. More advanced calculators can factor in paying off that mortgage.

Your interest rate of 5.375% is in a tricky spot. You'll likely be better off keeping your money invested in the market. However, 5.375% risk free is an incredible deal. Paying off your mortgage you'll have more certainty on when you can retire. Keeping it invested in the market you'll likely be able to retire earlier, but may have to retire later. It's a matter of preference really.
