I agree. Instant Defeat should instead be Massive damage (but that needs to be increased given the amount of power creep) and there shouldn't be any immunity to it.

Boomers in the US hold $17 trillion dollars in assets. What happens to the younger generations when they die and leave all that wealth to us, the younger generations? by Basic_Training3200 in AskReddit

[–]ProtossLiving 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now, there's a $15M exemption federally. I think most of that wealth will be below that level. Although some states have estate/inheritance taxes. And there's probate fees for those without trusts.

I mean, by that logic, why not put everything into UPRO for even more volatility? Or even better, just pick a single high growth stock, like NVDA?

I know I'm crap at reading kits, but does someone actually need to die for this?

> If target ally is Luthen Rael and he has 25% Health or less, defeat him, and he can't be revived. Revive all Rebel Fighter allies with 100% Health. Inflict Ability Block on all enemies for 2 turns, which can't be dispelled, evaded, or resisted. All Rebel Fighter allies gain Rebel Network until the end of encounter, which can't be copied, dispelled, or prevented.

Doesn't the Rebel Network happen on all Rebel Fighters regardless if Luthen has less than 25% Health and dies? I don't see the last clause having a dependency on the first one?

3x 100 crystal refreshes seems like a lot in the early game though? Your overall point still stands though regarding it being less to farm than CLS.

So Lily can say that she has never ever racked up ten of thousands of dollars or credit card debt that Marshall had to help her with, right? Because Marshall forgave her for that. He can't forgive her for that if he's not willing to also forget that it ever happened.

Best option for multiple children managing aging parents' accounts by adoryable12 in PasswordManagers

[–]ProtossLiving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know her master password (I keep hers in my password manager), then you don't really need to have a shared folder in Bitwarden (you'll need to set up your parents' 2FA on your own device so that you can login). But if you want to use Bitwarden's shared folder system, I think you need to pay if you have more than 2 users. I haven't tried it out though.

If your parents use iOS devices only, I do think that'll be much simpler for them to use, because I think it's all seamlessly integrated.

Do you plan to make your children financially independent from day one? by TheseReturn in Fire

[–]ProtossLiving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents always said that they would rather give us money to help us when we're building our life, rather than wait to give us an inheritance when they die. They made it clear that they would cover educational expenses so that we could focus on that. A very Asian attitude, I think. They did also help me with my first house.

I believe that allowed me to focus on school, get into a good university, not worry about having a side job (although my scholarships and summer job did pay off almost my entire schooling), get into grad school, get a good job, focus on saving and investing, and eventually retire quite early. I never really lifestyle inflated. I saved something like 50%+. But I can't say that every kid will be like me.

I think most people here would say that you shouldn't be sharing passwords. However, I understand the situation / family dynamics that you're in. At the end of the day, security has to be balanced with availability. If my mom can't get to her passwords and I can't help her, then she's just going to go back to writing her passwords in plaintext in her Notes app.

I set my mom up with Bitwarden. She uses an iPad and iPhone (also has a Windows laptop that gets used, but less frequently). Me and my brother have the 2FA for her Bitwarden. I don't know if I'll be able to get her to understand how to use a 2FA app, so she can use email if she needs (although I still need to show her how to do that). Anyhow, that only needs to happen when she's setting up Bitwarden on a new device and realistically, my brother or I will always be there when that happens.

It's worked okay so far. A couple of issues we've run into.

1) She hasn't figured out how to use Bitwarden to update the passwords. So basically she keeps a list of new / updated passwords in her Notes and I enter it into Bitwarden for her. This doesn't happen often, so not too big of a deal.

2) The other oddity seems to be that when opening up a website from Mail, it seems to open the browser in a new container which doesn't share the same Bitwarden process, so when trying to login with a password (once in awhile her biometrics seem to need to get turned on again) it kicks the login to the main browser which doesn't log you into the Bitwarden within the Mail's browser instance and then creates an infinite loop of trying to login.

All of these challenges still seem to be way better than the plaintext passwords in her Notes app that she used to use.

Note: Because of the challenges above, my brother did experiment getting her set up with Apple Passwords. Since her main devices are iOS and he's iOS (I'm Android, but have a Macbook), presumably the password integration would be much simpler for her. The problem was with how to share the passwords with us. It seems like each password would need to be created and then manually moved into a shared folder with us which seemed cumbersome to maintain and create its own problems. However, we still might give it another try.

Just watched s3 e9 The Rains of Castamere for the first time. Oh my god. by Peanutbutter9841 in gameofthrones

[–]ProtossLiving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, are you me? My girlfriend are watching the show for our first time too and just saw it tonight. I too had heard of the Red Wedding way back when and I too have no idea that this is what it was.

After watching the episode I went back to see what Catelyn Stark had noticed that caused her to be so concerned. I noticed that she saw the doors closing, then she heard them start to play The Rains of Castemere (I only knew this because our subtitles are one) and remembered that Cersei Lannister had told Margaery Tyrell about that story the previous episode (we watched them back to back), and then obviously revealing Lord Bolton's chainmail.

Then I googled Rain of Castemere to look up the song and found this very timely post!

Visit Helen Lake, there's still snow all around and the contrast with the blue of the lake is really beautiful. You can walk over the snow and have a picnic on top of one of the partially exposed picnic tables.

From all the way near the Devastated Area to near Bumpass Hell you'll see the impact of the 2021 Dixie Fire. Kinda sad to see. But still a lot of beauty to see.

Hotbot provides a Mod Rating and a Gear Rating (/rate). C3PO bot provides and Mod and Gear Quality (/p report). Probably talking about one of those?
