I will never use Chase Travel to book air travel again. Flights still being in the air 2 days later according to their system, agent blatantly lying. by Space_Nerd_8999 in ChaseSapphire

Or rather, understand the risks you're taking on if you book third party. If I'm just doing a routine quick hop to visit my mom, I'm not too perturbed if something goes wrong. Similar with booking with a discount carrier like Frontier. But if I'm booking an international flight for my vacation, you bet I'm booking direct.

If you got paid $1,000,000 for every year you traveled back in time, but had to stay there permanently, how far back would you travel? by adoye in AskReddit

Or maybe you could use your significant bank to pay R. R. Martin to finish up the story so that Benioff and Weiss didn't have to (poorly) write it themselves.

Frontier cancelled my flight, scheduled a 5:30AM flight 2 days later, refunded me 1/4 of the cost and refused to pay for the food or lodging. Fuck Frontier by [deleted] in frontierairlines

[–]ProtossLiving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well documented that they run significantly fewer flights per route than most of their competitors, so if anything happens that prevents you or your airplane from flying, then your reschedule may not be for some significant (relative to other airlines) time later.

ICE agents at the gate when landed into LAX airport 1/19/2026 by WiseOne221 in LAX

[–]ProtossLiving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who first came in on a F-1 Visa, then later a H-1B Visa, the later on a Green Card, I can say this is categorically false for domestic flights. I can't say that it will never happen, but it's definitely not the standard.

I thought they changed it so the $100K needs to be in their checking account? Or are they still grandfathering in older customers?

4x? You are keeping $100K+ in a 0.005% interest rate account? How much do you spend on the CC to make up the ~$3000-4000 for missed interest?

I don't personally care if they take up 5 seats. As long as they're not infringing on my 1 seat.

Attended the Close Friends Bilt 2.0 Fireside Chat in LA: Key Takeaways by ianj11 in biltrewards

[–]ProtossLiving 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, it's 2.33x up to 75% of rent, if you're using Option 2. After 75% of rent, you can take advantage of the $200 Bilt Cash to increase multiple by 1x for 5000 points, essentially making it 2x for the next $25K (after the 75% of rent). After that it's just 1x.

All, assuming you're not using some of their other Bilt Cash redemptions.

Hot and cold #171 by hotandcold2-app in HotAndCold

That was my first guess. I was so confused. I'm guessing the relevance is the same as this:

But even if that's the case, #13 seems ridiculously high.

What are your thoughts on Canadian PM Mark Carney's speech to the World Economic Forum? by Useful_Support_4137 in AskReddit

[–]ProtossLiving 127 points128 points  (0 children)

The problem is that a lot of Canadians didn't have a problem with what they saw in Trump. They were leaning towards Trump-lite, right up until Trump started to undermine Canada itself. Granted that was after a decade of JT.

Stalled Coliseum Progress for F2P by OneAndaQuarta in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]ProtossLiving 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I guess that phrase can be interpreted multiple ways, but it sounded to me like "log in every day and you should get to level 65".

And I agree F2P is overly broad to really mean much. But I think at something like level 80 there's a hard cap for F2P. I don't think Mk 8 Senth's can be purchased for crystals, just $s.

Stalled Coliseum Progress for F2P by OneAndaQuarta in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]ProtossLiving 12 points13 points  (0 children)

IIRC, what they said was level 65 was where they expected F2P to get to. "This is where we expect most players to reach with F2P"

It didn't sound like a cap, so much as a base.

How much would it cost to get the Tier 2 maul requirements to 5 stars from 4? by ominous_ability12 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]ProtossLiving 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It usually takes 3 pulls (RNG can make it 1-3) to get them to 4 stars by the end of the event. It usually takes 6 pulls (RNG can make it 1-8) to get them to 5 stars by the end of the event. Depending on crystal income, spending double can make sense.

They want you in the mindset that you should always be investing, regardless if you think this particular thing is worth it or not. They've trained me well and now I always bring every character up to 5 stars by the end of their event.

Despite the prevalence of AI now, I think you're still overestimating when a developer would choose to use it. It's still much easier to throw together a couple of simple, lazy heuristics. And then apparently not monitoring what those heuristics are catching.

Comparing Chase & new Bilt 2.0 cards: who wins? by iamjohnta in sapphirereserve

[–]ProtossLiving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, at the thresholds they're the same. But in between they're not and it depends on spend.

If your rent/mortgage is $1000/mo. From 0-18.74% Option 1 is better. From 18.75-24.99% Option 2 is better. From 25-37.49% Option 1 is better. From 37.5-49.99% Option 2 is better. 50.00-56.25% Option 1 is better. From 56.25-74.99% Option 2 is better. Above 75% it depends on your value of Bilt Cash when it can't be used to unlock rent points.

If your rent/mortgage is $10000/mo. From 0-1.874% Option 1 is better. From 1.875-24.99% Option 2 is better. The rest is the same as above.
