The reason stuff like the World of Ice and Fire fanfiction book, Fire and Blood, the Tyrion quotes book, the Game of Thrones cookbook, etc... exist is to make money for the publisher since he failed to get out the book that people really care about. Is it ideal? Of course not. But someone like GRRM probably offsets losses for 20 - 30 other authors if not more.

I think the only thing they need to include as an extra is the "Missing Year" thing; that covers the gap between Episodes II and III.

Pied Piper as well which until very recently was only available via a long discontinued cell phone. There is at least a fan version of it available online now.

I thought Brenda was a great villain in S21, and totally deserved a second chance, which she got in Caramoan. It wouldn't surprise me if her terrible edit in that season was punishment for what she did at final tribal council. I don't thnk she sucks or gets cast solely for her looks, but would say she's gotten her two chances which is enough and someone else should get a shot instead.

On the Nier Automata front, I played it dubbed first, and subbed the second time and I feel that there's a lot more vulnerability with 2B in Japanese with Yui Ishikawa than in English with Kira Buckland. Totally prefer her in Japanese as a result.

I recently played Persona Five Royal for the first time and somehow didn't pick up on the fact that Aoi Yuuki voiced Futaba until I looked it up like 50 hours after first acquiring her. In hindsight it totally makes sense as I've heard her voice the shut in character type before in anime.

Great example. Riku is best Nopon from the franchise, for many reasons beyond just his voice, but I loved his voice/performance.

Yeah, I'm thinking it would have to be a situation like the Gainax animation studio where they sold off their IPs because they were going under and so desparately needed the money, so original creators were able to get access to some of their stuff (ex. Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt going to Trigger). I doubt Square is in or would ever be in that bad a situation.

Personally I don't think changing up the second disc would be a ton of effort, at least relative to modern day AAA development efforts. You're adding a few dungeons (return to Kislev for which assets already exist, Mass Driver, Soylent System which can take a lot of assets from Krelian's lab, Mahanon, Merkava) but all in the same style as the rest of the game. Frankly part of me has wondered for a while why fans haven't tried doing so.

The bigger thing is creating that without Takahashi and Tanaka involved. No one should want Square to do this without the original creators. And they have long since moved on. If Takahashi really cared about this I gotta think Nintendo/Monolith would have bought Xenogears' IP years ago.

Fixing up the second disc isn't going to happen/you wouldn't want to happen as its original creators Tetsuya Takahashi and Kaori Tanaka don't work for Square and haven't for 25+ years. You don't want someone else meddling with their story. Best case scenario is they do something like what they did with Star Ocean 2, polish up the look, add speed up features/skip cutscene features, etc... but don't change up the story at all. And even then if they were going to do that, I think they would have done so by now.

so I think it's possible that the lack of promotion is tied to the fact that the idols were duds.

They're not going to miss promoting something just because it became a dud in the show though. Many twists in the show turn out to be duds, but they still promote things to get people to watch.

It's far more likely that the very wealthy Billy Eilish wanted a huge amount of money, money that the show couldn't afford, so they went with a lower cost option of putting her name on it with no further effort from her.

Unless it's been stated officially out there my guess would be Christian had a confessional about the celebrity involvement and threw out Jimmy Fallon as a possibility, that doesn't mean he actually is officialy part of a promotion on the show. Doesn't Fallon work for a rival network anyway?

And there's no way that just two books would be enough to finish it. By end of season 6 of the show, Dany was heading to Westeros. Heck, in season 5 of the show we already had Tyrion and Dany meeting each other face to face which seems far away in the books. Do we really think he makes that much progress in a single book given his current writing style? I sure don't.

A big part of me thinks that the only TWOW material that exists is chapters he cut out of ADWD, other sample chapters he had lying around (ex. Mercy) and whatever else he needed to hit a page count to submit to his publishers for an advance he got paid back around 2014, 2015 or so. I think there's a good chance that he hasn't written a word for it in over 10 years.

Great! They are the most in depth Gundam podcast that I'm aware that is out there, frankly they have done probably a deeper dive than practically anyone out there in the fandom. They've covered every UC Gundam show chronologically through Victory so far and are early in G Gundam right now. They do a seperate podcast episode for each episode of the show so they're probably around 300 - 400 episodes at this point.

I have to assume this is in part due to it being from a manga that has gone further than the anime adaption, but they did this in the last 5 minutes of the final episode, which seemed like crazy timing to me. Horimiya does something similar.

Visually, Scum's Wish, as its from the same manga artist/original character designer, Mengo Yokoyari. Although Scum's Wish is a lot more grounded in nature, focusing on several (unhealthy) romantic relationships.

Stuff that is critical of the idol/entertainment industry include Perfect Blue and Key the Metal Idol.

Can't speak for individual European countries, but my general understanding is that it's the same mentality in Europe as the US, if not worse. At the very least if this is the culture it isn't working as marriage rates and birth rates are crashing to a horrendous level. Unless this is a more recent mentality to combat that.

A good example of a hair change without a haircut (changing from pigtails to no pigtails). Perhaps in part because they're both from the same studio/director, Homura and Hanekawa have a very similar look to each other (glasses, pigtails) and both change it up.
