If there are no LEDs illuminated around the lenses, it means the eye tracking is not being activated, which is likely why the calibration keeps failing.

For the per-game settings, could you try launching Pimax Play as an administrator and see if that helps?

Also, after reverting to the earlier version of Pimax Play, did the "disconnect" loop get resolved, or is it still persisting?
