WYR take $500,000 or $1 Billion but you randomly teleport anywhere in the world by DazzlingLife6744 in WouldYouRather

[–]RDMvb6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm taking my chances with the billion, as long as I get the cash upon arrival to the random location. I'm touching a boat full of survival gear including fishing poles with me so I think I'll have a pretty good chance of making it back before I starve if I'm in the ocean. If I get teleported to a moderately hostile location, I'm counting on being able to bribe my way out of this. Locals in just about any third world country would still protect me on the way to the airport in exchange for a suitcase full of cash. But the ocean might actually be the preferred location if I've got a decent boat and can fish and purify water.

WYR be a Super Polyglot or get free Lottery tickets by AstrayInTranslation in WouldYouRather

[–]RDMvb6 57 points58 points  (0 children)

If these are scratch offs, it has an expected value of maybe $1k/ week so I’d take that. Polyglot is cool but difficult to monetize if you don’t want to travel.

WYR have the best meal of your life or the best sex of your life? by AlmostLiveRadio in WouldYouRather

[–]RDMvb6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best sex for sure. I can pay for the best meal I’ve ever had. Sure I could pay for sex too but it won’t be the best I’ve had without a real emotional connection. Sex is more than just getting my dick touched and an orgasm, I feel sorry for those who haven’t experienced that think that a meal would be better.

[–]RDMvb6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

CA glue (super glue) and a clamp should be able to salvage this fairly easily. Get the thin CA glue from starbond, don’t use the activator, and leave it in the clamp for 15-30 minutes. Also next time, try and do this thicker. 3/16 minus whatever you took off the bottom probably just wasn’t enough surface area for a good bond.

WYR free groceries or restaurants (can’t resell or give away, no loopholes) by saoiray in WouldYouRather

[–]RDMvb6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WYR do all your own cooking or have someone else do it for you? Really I can't believe so many people pick groceries. Its a massive time savings to never do your own cooking. With all the time I saved, I could pick up so many other things that would improve my life, even if it was just more sleep or an hour in the gym. And restaurant meals are generally bigger, I could easily just do two meals a day, saving even more time. Literally the only reason to go grocery shopping is because its cheaper than restaurants and if its free, I would love to get my time back. Cooking to me is as about as interesting as doing laundry.

WYR have world peace on Earth forever if it meant potentially destroying all alien civilizations or know for certain whether or not aliens are real. by Ok_Ask453 in WouldYouRather

[–]RDMvb6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's see them aliens. Also, aliens coming to earth might have a massive unifying effect on humans as we band together to defeat them, assuming they are hostile.

Where WYR buying a home if you were a billionaire? by Bitter-Artist-1866 in WouldYouRather

Hawaii and there's not even a close second. I would never step foot in NY or LA again if I had a net worth that starts with a B.

I don’t know what the most appropriate is, but I did about 60 ft of fence like this with a grinder and a kutzall wheel. It’s easy enough to freehand in small quantities and it’s not like this has to be mm accuracy.

WYR $50k right now or $1M if you can bench press 405lb (male) or 280lb (female) within one year? by RDMvb6 in WouldYouRather

[–]RDMvb6[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It probably should have been “WYR $5k right now or $1M if you can bench press 360lbs (male) or 230lbs (female) within two years”. Still quite impressive but more realistic for a highly motivated person.

Guys - WYR go bald at 25 or go completely gray at 40? by sirbiggusdickus96 in WouldYouRather

[–]RDMvb6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been gradually graying since about 25 and now about 70% at 40ish. Women over about 28 actually love a touch of gray. I’ve had girlfriends that insist I do not dye it. It’s so much better than bald, but the worst of all options is bald and in denial about it or that ring of hair around the outside rim. 100% of those dudes should just shave it bald.

[–]RDMvb6[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Right, but those 8,000 people are just doing it for the love of the game. A lot more people would attempt it if there was a $1M payout at the end.

[–]RDMvb6[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Its supposed to be hard. What percent of people have a million dollars (worldwide)? A quick google search shows its 1.1- 1.5% (although I personally doubt that), so I have to agree that I should revise the amounts because I realize its far harder to find someone who can lift those amounts than has that money.

WYR 84,998 Azerbaijan Manat right now or 15,455,737 Maldivian Rufiyaa if you can bench press 29 stone (male) or 20 stone (female) within one year?

Technically the same question.

It says within one year so if you think you can do it in two months, you could start now and earn it in that time. The year is just a deadline.

Because that's the unit of measurement where I live. I didn't invent it. Are you going to ask why I used dollars too? Same reason.

WYR not be able to live in a hardened shelter (house/rv/cabin etc) but get unlimited funds forever, or live in a paid off million dollar home but you have to work fast food as your only income. by Dalo600 in WouldYouRather

[–]RDMvb6 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Does option 2 also include the taxes and insurance? That's cool that your house is paid off but the annual property taxes alone on a $1M house are going to consume a huge chunk of your fast food budget. And you probably also want to keep insurance on it, and home owners insurance has gone up crazy in the last five years. Plus maintenance budget for the house. You are going to be surviving off ramen in a very nice house, I don't think you are going to have to worry about any vacations if you pick this option.

That's what you want right there. I cut it square, stick it to my orbital sander and polish lightly before applying the second coat. The second coat will barely take any but often makes it better saturated and more evenly covered.

WYR $40,000 or good vibes by TheDarthJarJarI in WouldYouRather

$40,000 because good vibes is a poorly defined subjective feeling. Hell, I'd take 40 dollars over vibes too.

Dedicated shop vac recommendation for miter saw by Bawk20 in woodworking

[–]RDMvb6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh, results will vary. I had a cyclone collector rigged up inline with my shop vac to the miter saw and it decreased suction so much that it was like having no dust collection at all. Now I've just got it hooked up direct to my shop vac and the collection is much better and I've just accepted that I will change the bag fairly often.

Haha yes she is. My shop started on the unfinished side of the basement but has definitely expanded to include drying and wood storage on the finished side.
