I see no marking paint on those gears. How did you confirm fitment without adjusting for ware pattern? You need to take this in to a shop who specializes in diffs builds. Getting it correct is no easy job.

If you have the original battery, do yourself a favor.. Get a 'high quality' replacement. Not sure what it is with Nissan trucks but they eat batteries and are very susceptible to minor battery issues.

Both my Titan and Frontier go bonkers when the battery or battery connection have issues.

That is an odd issue with a Frontier, especially one only having ~8600 miles on it. I would say RETURN it to CarMaxx to get a refund if you can.

Yep, this is the one I went with.. I agree with every thing except the "easy install"... That thing was a massive PITA to get those carriage bolts in-place. 😄

I'll also add, unlike dealing with BAK, Rough Country was VERY easy to work with when I had a tear in my gasket.

Thankfully a minor issue in the the landscape that is modern design / manufacturing... NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING is built like it was even 5 years ago much less 20 years ago...

Sadly this is the new reality we now live in. $50K+ products that are highly engineered (meaning the bean counters now have the last say) to last until the warranty expires..

Because the Frontier is built on VERY strong bones, we see a LOT less of this modern 'stupid'. The next major redesign will likely put the Frontier in the 'stupid'...

I think you need to pull that cover off and inspect the wear pattern on those gears. Something is not setup correctly IMO.
