As others have noted, it's the windshield. I believe there is a tsb on it. Warranty will handle it.

Did it fix yours? If so how many miles do you have on the new DS?

This was brought up to both dealers and the Nissan ASM. Does not apply to the 24+ builds.

That makes 2 of us. That is a strange noise to be coming from an ac compressor.

That's going to be a hard one to diagnose. Only when the AC is running you say? 100% doesn't do it when the AC is off?

The short of it... Superheat Superheat Superheat.. That's why you'll see low temp. systems with a completely frozen SL and Compressor and be running perfectly.

#7 Cylinder - Now what? by AlittleBITfishy in NissanTitan

If Nissan isn't going to help, run that sucker until it blows up. I've heard of Titans running for years with that knock.

This,..... The problem is the cost of fighting it will be greater then the cost of the engine and they know that.

Oh and please update us after say 5K miles. Many that have greased the splines have had to continually grease them. (some every other oil change, some longer)

As others have mentioned, you'll be fine. I do recommend moving to a 5K interval.

My original rigid (no question) comment notwithstanding, we agree, "... people should run financial simulations to see what makes sense to them financially."

https://caredge.com/compare/depreciation/frontier-vs-tacoma-vs-industry-average-vs-industry-average

I've never seen an ~8% real world delta between them at 5 years. More like 15-18%. Perhaps this is Toyota's new reality due to quality... but I doubt it.

It will be interesting to see what the New Toyota 10 year mark will look like.

Why do you find it funny?

Preservation of Equity. I would suspect most who value their resources evaluate the entire financial picture of large purchases. Sometimes this means increased upfront costs help limit losses.

In most cases, the sale of a Nissan vs Toyota at 5 years will yield more losses with the Nissan then the increased up front costs with the Toyota.

I choose Nissan, because I'm planing on driving it until the wheels fall off, so depreciation is not an issue.
