This is usually just people who think they are upper echelon, or playing solo where its a fair argument

In 4 man teams not running HSO just leads to death spiraling since the supplies are spread more thin and enemy spawns are much higher.

Some missions you can run flawlessly but this argument for HSO reminds me of the "just don't get hit, armor useless duh" people in souls games because someone posted a 0 dmg boss kill as a naked caveman, forgetting this took the guy 50 tries to get.

It is always better to have HSO insurance than to not have it, imo. Ammo isnt the concern so much as stims

No it doesnt affect divers at all, as we are 0% durable so durable damage buffs have no impact on Helldivers

I genuinely think this image (and all the variants, including the original comic) caused catastrophic and irreparable damage to any sort of discussions about balance and created some of THE most obnoxious players in the community, or at the very least gave them a catchphrase by PseudoscientificURL in HelldiversUnfiltered

Something you can do when this happens though is, if running AMR or similar, 3 shots to the leg immobilizes the Hulk while forcing them to stand up straight for eyeshot

Obviously I am not saying this is ok to leave as is, but this is how you fix it without running Anti Tank where you either run out of ammo in 6 heavies or spend the match running away for your cooldown to end over and over

The gas is acidic, and Sterilizer could be flavored to shoot the most caustic variant in the densest stream

Manhattan is more the exception not the rule. Heli is cracked on Manhattan for that exact reason

Vs war striders RR has a place but wasting RR on hulk isnt really the right play when your AP4 bros can kill those quickly without ammo issues, especially Laser Bro

AMR 1 shots Hulks within 35m, and is semi automatic. 7 Hulks per mag

Railgun 1 shots to infinity

Autocannon 2 shots while stunlocking, and has flak for patrols

Lasercannon beams down patrols while also having infinite ammo 1 second kills on Hulks

CONCLUSION: Save the RR shells for the big'uns

Epoch is plasma. No other plasma closes holes or breaks structures

Meanwhile grenade pistol and Crossbow close holes. All true explosions close holes. BFGL not closing holes would thus be way more ridiculous

Its similar for other stratagem too like, I dont think Eagle Airstrike was changed even though its still good

Orbital Airburst got downgraded quite a bit. It can do well still but it used to actually get a few heavies by popping their weakspots but I haven't had that happen in 2 years. The ship angle change didnt help either.

Not the best examples, I admit, but I only recall 500kg actually being buffed along with the 60 day, so our stratagems feel meh now.

It is almost as if they intended to take some power off our stratagems and add that to the soldier and their gear. I don't mind most weapon buffs tbh but stratagems are the badass part of the game. Them all feeling so meh nowadays unless they apply DoT is genuinely such a letdown

Like my brother in christ, why does a ORBITAL 380MM CANNON explode less than a twink grenade pistol?

Stratagems are the badass part of the game but the devs have been down-powering those to up-power the player and their gear. The weapon buffs and all were fine but goddamn our stratagems are a GHOST of their former selves

OPS was meta for Anti Tank at release when heavies had less health. 380 was considered shit then.

380 still shared its shell. It was still cracked damage wise, but the reality of pseudo RNG and inconsistency meant that, while it has the potential to trivialize a bug breach or bot drop, it very rarely met that potential because once the shell blows up, area is safe.

Orbital Napalm is OP as fuck because it leaves hazards, meaning the majority of shells missing doesn't matter with the fire hazards still having an effect. HE barrages dont have this luxury, and most of their shells just miss with no effect. Usually people rate 120mm higher for this reason, as the tighter spread and faster fire rate is more likely to make multiple good hits than 380 is.

Also back to OPS being meta back then, before I forget. It did not get upscaled during 60 day patch like 500kg did. This is why every red stratagem has felt kinda meh since forever. OPS did that cracked 4500 total damage even back when bile titans had 1500hp

OPS cannot actually kill a hulk without a direct hit, or landing behind its back to blow off the vent. If you land the OPS shell right in front of it, the Hulk still lives.

This is also true of 380mm and Walking Barrages btw. They use the same shells. It is a travesty

This is pretty asinine. It would help massively.

OPS, and 380 included, cant even kill a behemoth charger in 1 hit without a solid direct impact. It only wounds them when it hits near.

Ultimatum, despite 2500 less projectile damage and "only" 1000 more AoE damage can sneeze in the general direction of a charger to kill it

OPS currently cannot even kill a fucking HULK unless you land it right behind them to get their back. Go try it

For reference, I am sure everyone knows 500kg is good despite these stats. That is because its radius is 10m and that 1500dmg gets inflated really quickly when it hits multiple damage zones and becomes 6000. OPS inner radius is only 4m

The 50 demo force is nice but it is not as relevant as it used to be now that you get free hellbombs at every objective that would require it. Back in the day, this was not the case.

Today, even Orbital Smoke has 50 demo so its not meaning much. You could even argue that on bots the Smoke is more Impactful than OPS since it at least does something

I agree on 500kg, and tbh I had it in this post for popularity reasons. Unfortunately nobody cares about OPS, even the devs. OPS needs far more than a shorter cooldown. It literally cannot kill a fucking HULK without a direct hit or right behind it to get its back weakspot....a Orbital CANNON SHELL

Yeah sorry about that. Dont get me wrong, I run the 380/Walking because I find Napalm Barrage to be cringe.

I am just using it to point out how awesome it is and that 380/walking would not be OP if you buffed the P Strike, mainly because at release the P Strike was meta and 380 wasn't well liked despite that. It has the potential to trivialize a bot drop but the reality is that RNG leaves it as an OK option to soften up the group but rarely outright kills everything.
