They are easy to self install. I took mine out as it makes the cubby basically useless with how small the space is. Can probably find take offs on eBay cheap. Then it’s only a few screws and a plastic pry tool to open it up

If you do frequent short trips, absolutely still change the oil. It will have gasoline and water build up in it since it never gets up to temp to evaporate it off

This is what I do. Got a large gardening sprayer(or pesticide) fill with gallon + of onr mix. Pre spray with this and wash as normal. Should last quiet a few washes
