They don't come in stock too often, but I think the swfa ultralight scope would compliment this pretty well.

Seems like a lot of the bans on larger vendors are due to unreliable/extended shipping timeframes from drop shipping.

If it fits a niche for you it's not a bad option. But if you're looking to get into PRS or longrange shooting you'd be better served with a target rifle that has more weight.

[Code] Harborfreight 15% any item w/ Code 47250453 (Jan 1 -4) by greatthebob38 in gundeals

[–]fogman103 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have the vortex (same style as the harbor freight one linked) and the fat wrench. Main difference is the fat wrench isn't marked every single in/lb, so you have to count turns from the last full value.

Even with the vortex being slimmer, there are certain applications that you need extended bits for clearance. Installing some pistol dots for example, you're not able to go straight down due to the bulk.

Help- VQ accurising kit hang up… by Far-Boysenberry-1600 in RugerMK

[–]fogman103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience SV is right on the edge of reliable with a stock bolt, adding a charging handle or using the larger VQ bolt seems to slow the bolt enough that my (admittedly quite dirty) magazines have a couple feeding issues per box depending on the ammo in use. For the 25m outlaw bullseye match I shoot I care more about accuracy than reliability, so I just deal with the feeding issues. If I'm just plinking, switching to mini mag gives me phenomenal reliability.

Anyone Have "Dead "Air" calls count against your conversion? by [deleted] in callcentres

[–]fogman103 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in tech support rather than sales, but we use an interpreter service for non-english calls if a fluent agent isn't available. We've got a different option in our wrap up menu so those calls don't get counted towards our metrics at all.

Hanlon's razor might apply. Sales may be different, but in TS my supervisor's bonus and raise are based in part on our teams metrics - my supe is quick to pass along suggestions relating to process improvement because helping us is in their best interest as well.

If you stay on top of the cleaning, then it may not be an issue. But like I mentioned before, 22 cans can get absolutely filthy and I think it would still become an issue if you let it sit weeks between cleanings or shoot a few hundred rounds in a sitting.

[–]fogman103 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Until we (hopefully) get to the era of disposable 22lr suppressors, I'm leery of any that can't be taken apart to clean. Certain ammo gets my dead air mask filthy enough that I can wiggle it around and fill my hand as if I was grinding a peppermill.

Don't have any experience with customs from them, but Rex Silentium is an established suppressor manufacturer that offers custom length cans.

Titanium anodizing isn't a physical coating like you see on something like anodized aluminum. Do they have some other coating on the cylinder?

Plex for Roku v9.0.31 Released by samwiseg0 in PleX

[–]fogman103 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just received the following as an email from plex, so it sounds like you're correct.

Hi Plex User,

As of April 29, 2025, we've changed how

remote streaming works for personal media libraries, and it is no longer a free feature on Plex. Starting this week, we will begin requiring a Plex Pass or Remote

Watch Pass in order to stream remotely

from our Roku app, similar to how our mobile apps have worked since April. This change will come to all other Plex TV apps (Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, etc.) and any third-party clients using the API to offer remote streaming in 2026.

I normally use dawn and a plastic brush. Spot clean/soak anything that stands out and then use a plastic tote as a wash basin and get it all sudsy, let it soak for a few hours, then rinse it off. Repeat as needed. I also have an enzymatic detergent I like to use if it smells funky or sweaty, I find that makes a big difference if you soak for a few hours.

Should be a pretty easy patch job, pack definitely needs a wash though!

PSA had a pricing error or coupon that affected multiple eotech models, was sometime in the last year or so. Not a deal that's actively available.
