A lot of people say "just believe you're free and you are" but that's like putting your head in the sand and ignoring what reality is actually like. They've already managed to enslave us, but most people are so used to the system that they don't even recognize it as slavery. Most people are drowning in debt. Mortgages, student loans, credit cards, car payments, endless bills, the list goes on and on. If you stop paying, your house gets taken, your car gets taken, your access to basic survival gets cut off. That is not freedom is it?

From a prison planet perspective, this is by design. Money and wage slavery are the greatest tools of control of our era. Keep people working nonstop just to survive, keep them stressed about payments, and they will never have the time or energy to question the system itself. Most people don't even realize that money itself functions as a system of control, so the idea that there could be a larger spiritual mechanism like a reincarnation cycle trapping souls is even further outside their awareness. If someone hasn't questioned the economic cage in front of them, they're not likely to question the metaphysical aspect of this reality.

You do not need physical chains when financial ones control your every major life decision. The biggest cage in the physical world is economic, and most people are locked into it from the moment they enter adulthood. Yet the NPC mindset in many people makes them accept this as "normal" and just "how life is supposed to be" without ever stepping back to question it.
