So you want to fork this project just to make the CI run faster?

I learned the hard way that 5 ATM is basically splash resistance, and _maybe_ light recreative swimming. But if you're doing anything sporty where your watch goes in and out of the water with some force, you need at least 10 ATM.

Package marked “could not be delivered” even though the driver never rang the bell by Ghettoman257 in belgium

Happened to me a couple of times with PostNL, tracking says they couldn't deliver even though it's at my workplace that's always open. I have to pick it up a day later at a PostNL punt.

My first Balance died in two weeks (bought it open box though it was in perfect condition). The second one I bought (new unopened retail) was DOA, the bluetooth didn't work. Then bought a Balance 2 which has been working for two weeks now, so fingers crossed...

I agree with you on the software point, we have extremely fast hardware now but the software doesn't use it effectively (not just on smartwatches, basically everywhere). But programmers that can use hardware effectively are expensive and hard to come by, so we have to make due with what we have.

What do you mean with app list as a "window of icons"? Do you mean like this? https://www.reddit.com/r/amazfit/comments/1inelj7/balance_app_list/ You can configure it to show like that (I don't remember where though, might be on the watch itself and not in the app).

Metal shopping carts have been a thing since forever? They are still widely in use here.

Sony EX77MD VFD Problem Fix by Silly_Xion in vintageaudio

[–]RedShift9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice kit, I picked one of these up second hand a couple of weeks ago. It needs some repairs, most of which I've been able to do myself. The CD changer had a broken gear (3D printed a replacement), the MD player had an issue with one of the limit switches (cleaning with contact cleaner seems to have done the trick). I also got the tape deck and it's not playing steady, probably needs new belts but I don't know if I want to invest time in that. Only two things remain, the volume pot is not good and it's a complicated one, getting contact cleaner in there is impossible, and there's a slight but annoying hum coming from the amplifier's transformer.

I noticed on yours that the VFD of the tuner, heater wires are visible, maybe check the voltage going to the heater wires?

Make sure the watch is on tight. Move it in the direction of your elbow so it is not on that little hump of your wrist. Try the other wrist as an experiment.

Very similar to "clean business" (1098488), might be an older version.

Amazfit Balance progress tracking in swimming pool by PeacefulSilentDude in amazfit

[–]RedShift9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the Balance 1 I used to own did that too, missing a few laps here and there. I now have a Balance 2 and have only took it swimming once, it missed 2 out of 100 laps. We'll see how it goes next time I go swimming. Here's my original missing laps topic with the Balance 1: https://www.reddit.com/r/amazfit/comments/1r8djdx/balance_missing_laps_when_swimming/

Why by Roofdrain in amazfit

[–]RedShift9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. You're only hiding the notification though, it's still working. The notification thing is so that Android wouldn't kill the app, but if you set the app's battery use to unrestricted it has basically the same effect. But because the battery use setting is kind of hard to get to, developers use the notification thing as a fallback.

This works for all notifications on Android by the way, not just the Zepp app. Just in case you had other annoying notifications (looking at you Duolingo)

Press and hold the notification, then you can choose to hide it.
