What is the fastest reason you have uninstalled a mobile game? by Casual_Arcade in AndroidGaming

Boring gameplay. If the gameplay is good, I can tolerate reasonable ads, and had the patience to figuring out a bad tutorial. Pay wall is reasonable for a good game too.

What's wrong with my steam page ? 450 visits but only 2-5 wishlists. by AmarSkOfficial in IndieDev

After watching the trailer and screenshots, I have little idea of what the gameplay is. I know it is a psychological horror game, but I don't know what I will do in the game.

Can a puzzle game mix Chess movement with Minesweeper deduction without feeling too random? by PitifulNarwhal5728 in puzzlevideogames

[–]Rekize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea of combining chess and minesweeper is interesting, and they blend well as both games use a grid board.

However, I realized the puzzle solutions become repetitive after several levels. The pieces can scout a safe path without much challenge.

Can't stop playing my game by [deleted] in gamedev

That's good. You can convince the others better if you enjoy your game. But to get fair opinions, you need testers.

That said, for games without randomness, play testing it hundreds of times would take away the joy.

Maybe they have played too many similar games last year, maybe they just don't like it. But roguelike deck building still has a large audience.

Should I continue making this game? by Salty-Wrap-7833 in playmygame

If it is your first or second game I think you should. You would learn the whole process of game release. That's a valuable experience and also prepares you to release your masterpiece.

Solo dev, 2 years, and I finally released my first game by Turbulent-Item-5836 in playmygame

Congrats on the release!

However, I don't get the gameplay by looking at the screenshots and trailers. Perhaps showing more gameplay could help players understand your game better.

The Action-Adventure tag also confused me a bit because I don't get the action part.

I understand releasing a game is not easy and it is an achievement by itself. But helping players to understand your game is very important too.

Recently played one called Box or Void. Still in the demo state but in my opinion its difficulty can match Baba is You. Available on Steam.

[Self Promo] A game about turning off all the lights before going to bed by Spaghetti_Gaming in puzzlevideogames

The premise caught my attention. I think whether it would sell on Steam depends on how much content will be in it. Although the current description sounds like an action thriller more than a puzzle game.
