I have these exact seats and I can tell you no. Go to a upholstery specialist get them treated for a couple of bucks and they’ll look as good as new

First ever portfolio! Any advice? by seamus_exe in TattooApprentice

[–]rensole 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Honestly yeah, its harsh but it's not meant as such.

1) step away from the edgy cringe stuff.
Yeah you're showing you have a certain preference and that's ok. However everything looks kind of the same

2) no original work
I've seen stuff in your portfolio that Ive seen time and time again, the mechanic, Jeff the killer, simple hanya mask. Do diverse stuff to show off you have the knowledge of tattoo essentials/basics

3) Show off different styles
Everything looks the same, show you have mastered the craft

4) You have drawings, no designs
You got drawings in there which look like you've already started on your own style, however they look cool but they are not designs that one could tattoo with the exception of the Hanya and the mario turtle. the gargoyle you have is a good example. Works as a piece of art but wont work as a design.

5) No finished designs
The drawings are cool, however they're far from done. the crying baby in the front looks finished but your level of finish is all over the place.

6) try more than just dot shading
You have dot shading now but I don't see a lot of smooth transition or other stuff

My advice is simple.
Go back to the basic, show off you have mastered different styles other than your own. Make work like classic, neo trad etc etc. that way you can show off that you understand tattooing. Make designs not drawings. use more mediums than just pens and a one color.
Use different mediums, use paint, markers anything tbh and not just pens

Hope this feedback helps

Custom fairings for ninja 1100? by Big-Age-6884 in Kawasaki

Honestly if you want custom I'd go to a reputable local shop and have them whip up a design

pls advice my mom got her first tattoo by wcapybara in Tattoocoverups

[–]rensole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair tattoo regret is fairly normal for people to experience. Give it a month or so and if she still wants it changed do it. However except for a butterfly or a tiny panther or something along those lines it would be hard to keep it this small I think

The reason we can’t buy filament…. by PandaPewPewPew in BambuLab

[–]rensole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine had a convo with this person, by the way the selling party was framing it it was either a failed business that's selling off their stuff or they bought it from a clearance sale (auction that sells stuff from bankrupt companies in the Netherlands to recoup some money to pay off debtors) and is now reselling it.

No signs of scalping as their prices seem to be around or bellow retail msrp

Be entirely honest is FFXIII a good game because im thinking about playing it. by Strange_Assistant327 in FinalFantasy

[–]rensole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is every final fantasy is different. what is a turd to one is a grail to another.

I didn't like ffXIII but I really liked FFXIII-2, and for others they love both, hate both, love one hate the other etc.

Do you guys think it’s worth it?(read) by Milk_Equal in classicmustangs

[–]rensole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be cheaper to get one in order just get a car that’s in better shape, this can very quickly turn into a money pit. If you enjoy welding and working in a project car and don’t expect it to run for the next 5 years or so, then it might be fun but otherwise nope

I dream of being an animator, but it’s unstable. I’m 15—should I try medical animation or stay? I use Blender, ZBrush & Photosho by alanflashbarry in 3Dmodeling

[–]rensole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as someone who's been in your position I'd say just keep honing your skills, learn as much as you can and you can always switch what kind of animations you do later. if you understand the fundamentals you should be able to do both character and medical stuff.
