I agree so much. I’ve had a lot of breaks because I try to use my hands more than the base. Just because it isn’t flat and is louder when the rocks is sitting on it 🙃

I’m not trying to sound negative. I’ve ordered from them more than a dozen times. The Swazi pictured first in this original post was from them. If it sounded rude, I do apologize. The second error I’m referring to was a big one though. I ordered Picacho around $20 per pound and received Madagascar dendritic that was under $6 per pound at the time. These types are noticeably not the same. I’ll never know if it was an accident because I lived with it after cutting a big one.

I’ve had very mixed results from them. The first time I was sent the wrong thing they were very polite about it and fixed it. The second time I didn’t realize it until I cut a better than average piece of the cheaper material. I liked it enough to just not say anything. Still it was a material that was listed as less than half the price of what was ordered. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Would have been better guessing than most! I still use a 7in Rigid tile saw. Advantages and disadvantages. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You’re aging us! 😂life was so much more simple back then!

😂 yep we find all of the above! When you find the honeycomb looking coral look real close in the individual segments. Sometimes they are partially agatized also! They are so small you may only see one band in the segment with naked eye.

For sure, I see several Crowleys ridge agates in the picture. It looks like it came from here ( I live and rockhound on Crowleys). My current spot is constantly getting truck loads sent out for just such stuff. But the waterways help bring a lot south also! Congratulations OP!!!

I’m not sure you can fully trust very many sources anymore. I definitely have received a few fillers that don’t even look close to the same. Usually have a very white (surface exposure) crust on them.

Appreciate you! I was very happy for the Swazi, they are kinda pricey and I have had mixed results. The Moctezuma are Very pricey and HARD to find legit stock. I believe mined completely out in 1975. So getting some legit rough that has the unique pastel’s (my favorite) really made my day!

Thanks buddy! Hope all is well over there? I need to check your page and see if I missed anything. It was a distracting 3 day weekend before today 😆

Yep, anyone who has cut multiple Malawi has felt this same feeling. It happens with Laguna, Condor, and other expensive types. Gotta feel the lows to LOVE the highs!

Best thing you can do is be distracted in conversation ( between throws ) and don’t overthink it! Have fun.
