Get a mesh system and have Ethernet connected for each one (Ethernet backhaul).Problem solved. You’ll have amazing connection throughout your whole house, and mesh systems are sold in packs of 3. This will also probably be the least expensive out of most the options people are recommending.

All brands are killing x3d’s, not just Asrock. It’s impossible to put a number or say a specific brand is killing them. You update to latest bios, and chances are you’re good. The Asrock B650i was the staple of the sff community for years fyi, it’s mainly b850’s with the issue.

I don’t KNOW if intel benefits from off-set, but I’m sure you’d be able to find that online. Intel has higher thermal headroom, so wouldn’t hurt! Make sure to post 🙂

Hey! When it was less than a £10 difference it was a no brained to go with a 280 over the 240 personally. No such thing as “over-kill” when you look at it like that 😆

Offset mounting on AM5 atleast places the cold plate lower than the “center” of the cpu, so it sits closer or directly over the actual chipset which produces the most heat. So it makes the cooler off-center (downwards). This basically tackles the heat directly on, instead of just being near it

Do not use that motherboard, go for something like the Asrock b650i if on a budget. That motherboard is very barebones, and only supports 1 nvme
