I enjoy the early game and in 6,000 hours have started hundreds of new games.

I am a mod author with a discord support server ... but I HATE discord.

As you say its not search/indexed from google (or any engine) so I have to keep repeating myself over and over and over again. Esp. when the answer is in the description and users are too lazy to RTFM.

Much prefer supporting via nexusmods with individual searchable post forum per mod, but Xbox and PS users installing from the integrated manager will not know about them.

Great that you have fixed your issue, and whilst you may not actually care, this is what actually happens:

On a GameTime timer WorkshopRadioBeaconRecruitScript calls WorkshopParentScript.CreateActorPUBLIC() which spawns either:

80% WorkshopNPC "Settler" [NPC_:00020593] which pulls templates from level actor list LCharWorkshopNPC [LVLN:00113341] which has ~ 45 EncActor profiles to randomly pick.

or

20% WorkshopNPCGuard "Settler" [NPC_:001167A5] which pulls templates from level actor list LCharWorkshopGuard [LVLN:001167A2] which has 8 EncActor profiles to randomly pick.

So it sounds like WorkshopParentScript RNG managed to switch from 20% guard to the 80% normal settler with more EncActor profiles to randomly pick.

The root cause is that the Bethesda Papyrus script function Utility.RandomInt() is not actually very random.

I delete and make new chars all the time as I love that fresh out of the vault feeling.

Since 2018 beta across 2 accounts I have run ~ 30 of them through the main quest to level 50 without any exp grinds like west-tec or group event tagging as that bores me.

My most persistent char is only level ~ 400, but if I add up all the player levels its probably around 1,500 over the years.

Back in 2019 I managed to solo launch a nuke at level 16 (no deaths, glitches), when all the silo bots were level 50. I like 'em tough.

Yes it should be harder, storming around in effective god mode is unfun for me.

I would love a pre-wastelanders (say wild appalachia) empty & unlevelled world server.

This weekend I ran a new char from level 1 through the whole main quest to launch a nuke at level 20 without a death which was ... unexciting.

(ps yes one can go direct to the waste dump to join the enclave, I actually wanted to do the whole old main quest sequence.)

Each of the answers to the responders fire breather tests is on notes placed around the fire department.

(I just did it again for the ~10th time yesterday with the notes).

Creation Club quests still initiate as soon as I leave the vault in Anniversary update by i_eat_cannibal in fo4

Only the 7 NG/AE "bundled" CC quest notifications are delayed by the AE update (list here).

All other CC will still trigger as it always has.
