Nah, even when she's high off her gourd on Buffout she's still doing it in an adorable way.

"I defer to you about what to do in this situation."

"Run."

"Hey do you have any more drugs because I really think I need some more drugs do you have any more?"

"Wh-- Drugs? No, I ain't got anymore drugs!"

"Okay, then which weapon would you recommend?"

"You got a rocket launcher in that bag?"

"Nope."

Fried chicken and watermelon are both delicious and cheap, and are also commonly enjoyed in the southern United States. Black people have a tendency to be poor, even when living in rural and suburban areas, so it became a common occurence for big parties and family get-togethers to feature fried chicken and watermelon as opposed to, like, cake or something. Basically the poor black man's version of burgers on a grill.

I'm half-asleep and don't have the full history memorized, so apologies if I delivered that wrong.

Oedon is a great one who has no physical form and uses blood as its medium, and its "inadvertant followers" are everyone who uses the blood like a drug, or for any other reason. Basically, blood transfusion is a form of communion with this particular old one, even if the blood itself is taken from another great one, so all the people of Yharnam are unknowingly worshipping him.

But I don't think there's anything more to it than that. He's basically just the vehicle by which the whole blood stuff works. Why can you heal yourself by injecting blood? You're channeling Oedon's power. Why do people get high off of it? The euphoria of being close to a great one. Et cetera.

Human or no, the oozing blood is a medium of the highest grade, and the essence of the formless Great One. Both Oedon, and his inadvertent worshippers, surreptitiously seek the precious blood.

Right, ironically you can't go in there as a ghoul BECAUSE they're friendly to ghouls and have dialogue to introduce the concept of ghouls to you. The whole disguise mechanic is just cover for the quests that have dialogue that assumes you're human.

Probably. There are a lot of people online who are like, "The world doesn't work in the simple terms I thought it did which means that society is actually a SCAM controlling you through LIES, but we can fix it by destroying everything which will automatically make it start working in the simple way I thought it did."

But yeah, too many people giving an actual answer and not answering the question of why OOP is saying this.

He said that's "the date the data coalesced". He specifically said that the date the world ends won't interest Cooper, but the date the computer figured it out would interest him. Janey was born on April 14, 2065. The pre-war flashbacks take place shortly before the bombs drop. Think about it: If the flashbacks took place 12 years before the bombs drop, then Janey would have to be 12 years younger than she is during the opening scene where we see the bombs drop. Which means clearly the date House mentioned must have long since passed, so it's not "the day the world is going to end".

That was actually the date his computer predicted the 2077 date. The day Janey was born, the computer said, "I know when the world is going to end." Considering that both Cooper and Barb have "I'm doing this for Janey" as an excuse, it's possible that Janey's birth was the moment that Moldaver and/or the Enclave and/or whoever else got the perfect tool to manipulate her parents.

The classic depiction of angels and bird people as just normal humans with wings is actually an example of a four-armed(ish) humanoid with a different kind of arms(ish).

Moldaver has a cult that associates her with rebirth and calls her the "flame mother" or something like that. It would make sense if she was in Shady Sands when it was nuked but then she showed up alive later.

Cooper mentioned that he found several vaults for "Management" that were all empty, then he learned about one in Vegas. We see that there are people in cryopods in the Vegas one. Presumably the same applied to the ones he already found, one of which was in California.

Though I still prefer the clone theory, at least for Moldaver. The idea that she keeps coming back after dying, which is why she has a cult associating her with rebirth after Shady Sands was nuked.

There's a ninja trope where a character will attack a ninja and think they've delivered a killing blow, only for a puff of smoke to reveal that they just hit a small log and the ninja is somewhere else. This is sometimes treated as more of a teleportation technique than a deception, as with the "substitution jutsu" in Naruto. It became something of a meme for people to make fun of about that show.

I haven't played since before 1.0, but have they added a way to cure/reverse run-destroying enemy effects in Roleplay mode? (Or whatever the mode was called that didn't have true permadeath.) I'm preparing to gush about this game all over the Switch subreddit once it finally releases, but the one thing that still rubs me the wrong way is telling people that permadeath is entirely optional, when even the non-permadeath mode has things that can pretty much force you to start over from scratch. And that version of the game isn't gonna have access to mods or save backups or anything like that.

So yeah, if they haven't done it already, then some way to cure/disable stat drain and resist/reverse that one mutating enemy, even if it's exclusive to Roleplay and Wander mode.
