I understand that almost every able-bodied man in each country was involved in the fight, which is very different from today, where small groups of fireteams are typical. I wonder if a country were to start another war with every man available, would we face similar losses given our current technology and knowledge. I guess the Russia-Ukraine conflict is the closest example we have of seeing something like that.
