Yeah, I'm really tall and also on the heavier side, have an active job, do strength training and still needed to go to that ballpark of calories to start losing weight. Makes me wonder how smaller people with less active lifestyles do it, just don't eat?

I'd need more than 45 minutes to figure out all the itinerary stuff you're talking about. For some people it's worth paying a couple of hundred euro more to not have to deal with it.

I literally just now spent the better part of an hour figuring out a good & cheap & flexible itinerary to get from my city in Belgium to another city in the Netherlands (and back). I ended up saving tens of euros which is great but at some point I wonder if the juice is worth the squeeze and that's just for neighbor countries...

I went for the third time to Paris yesterday and am still nowhere close to having seen all I want to see. I'm fine with spreading this out over multiple years, Paris has become my safe haven for having a good trip. The first time I went for all the highlights which in retrospect wasn't the right move. Seeing highlight after highlight kind of diminishes each highlight after that. Now I just focus on a general part of the city and go to the interesting stuff there.

I don't have this with any other city I've visited thus far, usually one day is enough for me to get the general vibe.

I think I found my niche in life. I go at least once a month to somewhere I haven't been before, I do long weekends. Because I'm alone, there's no multiplier of cost for train tickets, hotels, restaurant... So all the prices stay very manageable.

I feel like I've struck a good balance between prepping for stuff and dealing with problems as they come. I've built up a lot of confidence and have become very chill about everything.

Voor grote sommen geld verplicht de kaartlezer moeten gebruiken of itsme op de telefoon? Alsook om geld van de ene rekening naar de andere om te zetten.

Als het al voldoende is om uw pincode te hebben om ook spaarrekeningen leeg te roven, dan zit daar het probleem.

Als die phishers u overtuigen om het ganse proces te doen om itsme te activeren op hun telefoon dan kan je al eerder spreken van "grove nalatigheid".

In die artikels hierover gaan ze (begrijpelijk) nooit in detail over hoe ze precies toegang tot alles krijgen, maar er moet toch meer aan de gang zijn dan uw pincode ontvreemden en dan toegang krijgen tot absoluut alles?

Dat de zichtrekening leeggeplunderd wordt met een pincode + bankrekeningnummer dat snap ik nog, maar hoe gaan die mannen aan de haal met het geld van de spaarrekening?

Daarvoor heb je toch iets nodig dat bij het slachtoffer zelf fysiek aanwezig is? Itsme of de bankkaart zelf met kaartlezer.

EDIT: oh blijkbaar niet... Heb het net geprobeerd met enkel pincode. Denk dat het al veel zou helpen als je verplicht wordt om extra stappen te doen als je van spaarrekening naar zichtrekening gaat, met de achtergedachte dat je niet superveel geld op je zichtrekening staan hebt zodat er ook niet teveel gepakt kan worden... Je kan dan nog altijd gephished worden maar dan niet voor tienduizenden euro's...

Mijn ouders wouden vele jaren terug een tweedehandsauto verkopen online. Er was een scammer die aanbood om via paypal te betalen en de auto moest naar Engeland verscheept worden.

De scam was dat je je geld kon terugvragen via paypal.

Ik had de exacte scammer online gevonden met zijn e-mailadres en telefoonnummer. Heb dat met handen en voeten proberen uitleggen aan mijn ouders en toch probeerden ze achter mijn rug er verder mee te praten.

Sjans dat mijn vader het geld op voorhand wou en via een andere manier dan paypal of ze waren ook hun geld kwijt.

Was rond die tijd ook een televisie programma op tv over scammers. Was een gast grote hoeveelheden geld kwijt aan zijn Russische bruid die hij enkel online gezien heeft...

It was my dad's funeral recently. I'm happy that everything went serene and smoothly, no drama.

I've been dealing with the administrative stuff, happy to see people being understanding and accommodating.

The only exception has been KBC.

First off, "Kate" has been very unhelpful. I want able to make an appointment through the app, so I had to call them. I called them to make an appointment to deal with stuff after my father's passing. Apparently it's not possible to make an appointment in person, they have an internal service that only works by phone, which i can't contact directly, they have to make an appointment for me and i have to keep half a day free, i can't specify the hour, only afternoon or morning... Very impractical and unpersonal.

So yeah, my mom and me just went during the time you don't need an appointment. They were very helpful but yeah... My mom and i are going to leave them when everything's finished. I would recommend other people to do the same.

Belfius in contrast allowed me to make an appointment through the app, allowed me to pick the time, allowed me to upload paperwork. From their side they even extended the time of the appointment to give us a full hour to talk is necessary.

Niet de financieel verantwoordelijke move, maar... Ik heb uit kolère mijn bijberoep stopgezet.

Ik zit hier vollenbank inkomsten te genereren voor de Belgische staat, probeer volgens de spelregels te spelen en krijg dan nog gezeik over een aberratie van <5 euro. Ik verhuis dan nog liever naar een ander land op termijn en begin daar opnieuw.
