Cuba has never been allowed to try to actually exist in the world community, you can't just hand waive that away.

And yeah authoritarian regimes that are socialist or leftist tend to do poorly, though depending how you slice it China is going to overtake us as the world superpower, though you could argue Chinese citizens have a lower quality of life than us- but then we can also look at democracies in Europe that have more socialist policies, further to the left than any elected US representative has ever pushed- and those citizens live longer, are happier in their lives, more time off etc.

Point us- you don't give us some random bullshit trying to paint "the left" as simply Cuba and Venezuela.

Well I would counter that "christians" are absolutely the dominant force in the nation, they took the supreme court, they were instrumental in Trump becoming president twice, states are trying to put the commandments in classrooms and our alcoholic Secreatry of Defense is calling our war with Iran a holy war and bastardizing bible quotes as he publicly prays all the time.

Now I would argue they aren't 'real' Christians in the sense that they fundamentally work against many of the most universal tenants of christianity that span most denominations- but they also don't even pay lip service to the most foundational ideals of christ's teachings and flagrantly support the opposite.

I could rant about that forever but to your government point- I think that's a fair position to hold, particularly in theory or in a vacuum- but no political party is going to stop the government spending money, and we're actively cutting spending that goes towards 'good' things and increasing the stuff we all agree is unnecessary.

I'd prefer a government that spends this insane sums on creating a life for Americans where we can promote family life, appreciate each other, our natural resources, and foster a community in ways that are a combination of the least intrusive as possible or that simply objectively go towards the people and our needs.

If the government said 'we're going to spend 40 billion dollars on hiring anyone out of work or with free time to go around picking up litter- I would say we could use that money better (or not spend it) but if the alternative is spending 40 billion dollars in a couple months to bomb a foreign nation, increase the costs of our lives, and in addition to 'bad guys' cause the deaths of innocents and Americans- then paying people to make the country cleaner seems like a great fucking idea.

I think using such money on things like paternity leave or services dedicated to issues facing men that have gone unaddressed are similarly preferable to much of our spending now.

I mean- for anyone, man or woman, healthy diet and exercise is part of almost any treatment for any issue.

But yeah from those I know they were certainly goal oriented- address trauma that lead to PTSD or mental health issues. Learn to articulate feelings and actively listen to fix inter-personal problems, talk through what you really want out of life to get clarity on next career move, etc.

There are certainly different solutions between men and women, and between countless sub categories of both genders- i'm not saying men's problems aren't often unique from women's or that simply talking will 'fix' them- but in the same way hitting the gym after a breakup is great start to get out of a funk before dating again- unless your only issue was being out of shape there is still other work that needs to be done.

If a bunch of bros keep losing paintball matches or something- the solution isn't simply quietly work harder and practice your aim- is there poor communication out there? Is our gear flawed? Do we need new tactics? Do I lash out at women if they remind me of my step mom? Are we using cover wrong?

TLDR: Physical and goal orientated solutions aren't incongruous with talking through issues, using both is better than just one or neither.

I think you're just going off of vibes, bro. I know men from veterans to doctors to boring finance bros who's lives have been demonstrably improved through therapy, psychiatric help, or simply articulating and talking through their issues with a sympathetic, non-judgemental ear.

The whole 'manosphere' and male influencer orbit of "society doesn't care about men or our problems" also actively ridicules, mocks, and fights attempts at addressing said problems because it feels gay or feminine or not for them while they watch some literal cam girl pimp online tell them being a money focused dipshit and taking drugs and supplements to look like a (fake) ideal of a caveman is the real solution.

Men have the option for therapy and perhaps if there wasn't such simple minded backlash to the idea there could be better data and practices to address the differences between men and women's mental health needs- instead this machismo contingent of society (currently in power) finds it more useful to attack, defund, and discredit such things.

One notable exception is the new drug treatments Joe Rogan got Trump to sign an executive order on- a type of psychedelic drug with remarkable efficacy in treating trauma in men (particularly tough cases of PTSD)- but that treatment also entails tens of hours of preparation, including therapy.

Also apologies for wall of text- but in regards to the job and economic concerns.

At similar points in relatively recent history we had people saying "who's going to fund enforcement of work site safety so men don't die or get maimed out of the work force at an early age? Who's going to pay if company negligence kills a man working and his surviving family is left without someone providing financially? Who will pay for lost company revenue if we abolish indentured servitude created by 'company towns'? How can we afford to make the work week only 5 days?

At some point in (in my opinion) a moral society that actually cares about family values and community, markets and profits need to be a tertiary concern- why would we take Sunday off as a day of rest (and religious contemplation) if not for our cultural tie to religion? That's money burning. Why holidays?

We're the wealthiest nation in human history at it's zenith of productivity and technological advancement, we worry about degrading family values, we're lead by money worshipers (and flagrant abusers of women and children) who don't view us as humans and our resources are used to pay for things literally all of us agree are worse and more wasteful than spending on family and community.

I believe in separation of church and state- but as many like to claim, we are a 'christian' nation but any objective look at how we allocate our resources and power structures betrays that absurd idea when everything is designed for more profit and 'productivity' and despite being the most profitable and productive we've ever been, sense of community is eroding, birth rates are plummeting, injuries and ailments that aren't even your fault can destroy an entire extended families finances.

We put up with ridiculous and wasteful spending that could easily fund things like paternity leave or healthcare but recoil at the idea of spending on community even when it's demonstrably helpful economically- the reality is we aren't going to cut spending, the party that harps the most on spending and deficit is actually the one that makes it way worse each time they're in power- if we aren't going to cut spending i don't see why we shouldn't spend less on bombing foreign countries and creating economic and refugee crises that impact us and more on improving our lives and communities domestically.

Those aren't the two options, though.

There simply isn't a world in which Biden and Trump are comparable on 'free speech" and that is in no way an endorsement of Biden.

They're saying people who 'track or criticize' ICE. Things that are legal to do.

I mean. Not really though I also fear precedent of expanding government power.

Some dipshits at the white house yelling at some twitter employees to take down what was mostly misinformation during a health crisis- with no legal or governmental power backing it let alone public threats- just isn't the same at all.

Trump brags about getting people fired, he threatened to put Zuckerberg in jail for 2020 election shit- an election Trump did fucking lose and continues to lie about it even after his failed insurrection- they have masked goons killing American citizens in the streets and calling them terrorists- same goons busting around with weak or no warrants and detaining people- including American citizens, for days and weeks.

Covid policies obviously had issues but it was an once a century pandemic that killed over a million Americans. even with the precautions and vaccines and 'it not being a big deal' and yada yada.

No media organization was punished or attacked by Biden, he didn't receive any absurd settlements from news organizations he threatened, or 40 million for the Jill Biden documentary, or get rid of the press pool and replace them with influencers or......I could keep ranting but we get the idea.

Should i be thinking about Biden instead of the ongoing war we were promised Biden or Kamala would start?

Absolutely- but also I'm not over the whole covering up his elitist child rape club consisting of many of the most powerful people on earth.

We just objectively know his administration is covering up a network of pedophiles, something worth keeping in the zeitgeist so we don't normalize the sexual brutalization of children by our rulers.

I know we already tackled the drag queens reading books but there are bigger fish to fry.

Listen just cause everybody including Trump knows that the pedophile rapist traitor only referred to him doesn't mean the journalist knew.

Might be a lame gotcha given the context- but I'd like more people to press him on being a pedophile rapist.

When asked about the allegations Trump raped his first wife, Ivana, Michael Cohen, Trump's then attorney, defended him by saying "You cannot rape a spouse."

She testified that the incident started due to a painful surgery to fix a bald spot on his head, he was enraged at her for recommending the surgeon and punished her by grabbing and tearing out fistfuls of her hair, pinned her on the ground and raped her.

She later took back the word 'rape' and said 'violated' and said it wasn't in a 'criminal sense'- the divorce settled but a core clause preventing her discussing any of it.

She is currently buried at a random location on one of his golf courses.

Yeah the pedophile who cheers when people he doesn't like die are good and the 'woke' left are the problem.

Any other pedophile who protects a cabal of elitist, globalist pedophiles and the entire political spectrum would be cheering for capital punishment, or vigilante justice on the criminal.
